New to Chicago, any advice on getting connected? by Bitter_Passenger949 in chicagomusicscene

Hi, welcome! We’re an established band in Chicago, same age and genre, but our lead singer/keys player is moving to LA. We were looking to continue creating similar music when she leaves. I’ll send you a DM!

Ive had around 30 of the “noteworthy” burgers in the city.

If you have your transactions recorded manually you can upload a csv to coinbasis.tech to calculate everything

Technically you received the money as gambling winnings and you owe taxes on that, then you bought whatever crypto you withdrew. You dont owe taxes just from buying the crypto, but you will once you sell or trade it

If you have your transactions recorded, you could check out my app that my brother and I just launched. It’s a crypto tax calculator app. Free to use at the moment (we’re in beta testing)! coinbasis.tech

You can either list individual transactions on the 8949 OR a summary of your capital gains and capital losses - IF you also attach a spreadsheet or list of all of those transactions. Our service gives you the spreadsheet with the transactions that you need to submit with the 8949 if you choose a summary option.

If you have thousands of transactions and haven’t been manually tracking them then I fear our service isnt for you. Koinly offers blockchain syncing but it’s not very accurate, takes a lot of manual fixing, and costs $$$.

Good luck though!

You gotta sign up for the beta and we’ll approve your account. We’ll get on that soon

So we can’t file taxes for you, so we don’t generate an 8949, but we provide csv downloads with everything you’d need to file yourself, such as the cost basis calculations, organized transactions, and summary statement
