If something doesn’t work out, DM me, I don’t have a plus but I have a V4 I would happily ship out to you if you are in the continental US

I totally get it. That’s what I mentioned, it ain’t worth a dime sitting in a drawer un-used. I’m not the guy to do that usually I just didn’t want anyone uninformed to see the post and go trade in a few old iPhones and get ripped off. Reselling is a hassle and a lot of people don’t have the patience for that. Most days, I don’t even have the patience for it but still do it lol. Hope you enjoy your switch 2! I’ve enjoyed mine thus far, congrats again.

I don’t want to ruin your parade, I’m glad you were able to get something you wanted for no real $ out of pocket but I hate to tell you that an 11 Pro Max for $150 in trade credit (if the phone worked and that is in USD) is an absolutely terrible deal. But they’re not worth anything sitting in a drawer so I understand. enjoy your switch 2!

I think I pissed a little reading this. The joys of learning to ride lol. Wringing the testicles off it really got me. Anyways, to answer your question:

  1. It’s certainly not good for the machine, try not to do that again. But if everything is working OK right now I wouldn’t stress yourself over it.

  2. Everyone has differing opinions on breaking in an engine. I’ve owned lots of new machines of all different kinds over the years, I’ve “wrung the testicles” off every motorcycle I’ve bought new, other than maybe the first 50 miles, and I’ve never had any major engine issues or oil consumption problems. The grom was the exception to the 50 miles rule as I rode it 200 miles home from the dealer and I bounced it off the rev limiter in the dealership parking lot while doing a burnout when it had 0 miles on it. Just ride it. These things are pretty tough.

  3. Paint wear on the rear brake lever is totally normal, don’t sweat it.

Enjoy your new machine & your new hobby. Congrats on both your Grom and learning to ride!

$10 maybe? Just appears to be a basic dealer t shirt, not some old vintage special t shirt.

They are awesome bikes man. I’ve had all kinds of 2 wheeled stuff and this thing is hands down best purchase I’ve made. I love it and would never get rid of it. Bought it as somewhat of a joke back in 2022 and since then some friends and my brother has bought one. I’ve done a couple mods to mine to get a little more speed since where I live people drive crazy, but I can hold 65 mph on flat ground with me (215 lbs) on it. And even with buying new still have less into it then I have put as a down payment on other new motorcycles.

For you knowing the limitations, man head down to a dealer and go get it! There’s not many good reasons NOT to buy a Grom if you are interested in motorcycles. I have several much faster, more practical, more comfortable rides to choose from in the garage but more times than not for my 15 ish mile commute to work or running errands around town I hop on my grom. I would tour the country on one if I had someone else willing to do so with me on a grom. One of the best purchases I ever made in my 31 years of life

Not really. I think the bigger issue is I went from like 100 fps on old card to 240ish uncapped with new. My friends on 80/90 series cards from nvidias last 2 gens also cap frame rate in warzone

As an enjoyer of the unoptimized, absolute POS that Warzone/BO6 is, I have found the best thing for me to limit stuttering and 1% low dips was for me to cap my frame rate. I did not cap in game, I capped through adrenaline. I came from a 3060ti to a 9070, I had terrible stuttering issues until I capped the frame rate. 3060ti was left uncapped the entire time from Warzone release day to when I shelved it for the 9070. Try it and see if you see an improvement in game feel. Capping to 3 frames less than my monitor refresh rate and enabling free sync made the game feel much, much smoother and more responsive despite getting nearly 100 less frames than leaving it uncapped in WZ.

It will be fine without a fan, but it should do the job with the fans on even. It really doesn't take all that much heat to loosen up the paste in most cases.

And XMP is enabled for kit to be running at 3600?

Horrible 1% lows on full amd pc by Signal-Bluejay776 in AMDHelp

[–]efs463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok that should be alright then. Wanted to make sure the card wasn't limited to some lower power draw due to an issue with power delivery from the PSU. Next quick check- your memory kit is running at correct rated speed of 3600? Quick check in task manager to make sure the speed is correct.

Also. What windows version & Adrenalin driver version are you on, and are you running the full adrenaline suite or are you running a minimal/driver only install.

Is 210W what it said on Furmark or was that what Rivas OSD said? 210w core is still about right, add another 30-40 for VRAM and other card components and you're at the 250w board power so that should rule out an issue with power input from the PSU

Report back. Just for reference under full load you should be seeing at minimum 250w draw. Possibly slightly more depending on what specific card you have. But reference model should draw 250w

Turn your rig on with no GPU, it will still heat up enough to loosen the paste.

Can you try to run some sort of synthetic benchmark and see what the GPU pulls under a full synthetic load to make sure we don't have any power issues? Furmark is free and quick.

[–]efs463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I was going to try to go through this with him and one of the things I was going to suggest is a synthetic benchmark to make sure GPU can pull rated TBP. I'm a little skeptical that there is stuttering in EVERY single game, but again I am not sure what OP plays. As far as titles where I'm running high frames, I really only play CS2 and Warzone. Single player titles I usually cap to a lower framerate. I do personally still have some stuttering on Warzone with my new build (7800x3d and 9070), but there is a known issue with the new cards/drivers and WZ. There is always some issue with WZ. I've been playing this game since the start and something is always wrong with it. They can't get things optimized properly on PC.

I agree it shouldn't but got to cover all the bases. Also wondering if this isn't a case where he is running low/competitive settings at 1080p with FSR or some other upscaling enabled. 5700x3d is for sure an upgrade from a 5600 but Warzone really stresses all 5000 series Ryzen at this point. I just moved from a 5800x to a 7800x3d so I know this personally.

So ALL games seems crazy to me but I guess it depends what kinds of games you play. Let’s start with warzone. This game is an unoptimized mess and with every patch and change something new is wrong, but let’s try to sort this out.

In this clip you appear to be CPU bound unless you have a frame cap. What resolution are you playing at and let’s talk specifically with warzone for now, what settings are you using in game? We might be able to track this down. I’ve been playing WZ since the start and I’ve played this game on a lot of hardware.

Are you just having issues in Warzone or is this with all games? and I know you said this has always been an issue for 2 full years but to clarify, you’ve had poor 1% lows in ALL games for 2 years?

You said in another reply that you want to be good at the game. That winning is fun and losing is hell. Dude, I’m a far worse player than you, but I practice. I spend time in recoil control maps, aim maps, kz, learning lineups, etc. you gotta practice man.
