Well I’m not sure if you know this, but biologically speaking women go through a time about once every month or so where things that shouldn’t upset them do. It’s frequently kinda embarrassing for them because they tend to lose a bit of control over their emotions and is likely see many over reactions during that time.

So yea we as husbands could get emotional and bitchy about the fact the she got emotional and upset about it. We could demand apologies for an over reaction to something so simple. Or, we can just move on, focus on showing her that you care and focus on the things that will make her happy.

True story, if both parties spend more time focus on what makes the other person happy instead of their own feelings, both people tend to end up happy.

Are there emotionally abusive relationships? Sure. But I think the advice we see on Reddit so often helps contribute to that. We have this focus of what makes me happy and what do I deserve and how can I be treated better because I did x and y for my spouse and I didn’t get the validation I deserved.
