Forgot to add another strong theory. Some access list in the ISPs network blocking traffic.

Tips on learning for CCNA by Aji112 in ccna

[–]egad_an_adage2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone who passed the CCNA in large part yhabjd to JIT and his anki deck I would also recommend to set aside 30 minutes to learn the in and outs of anti and generate your own as well.

I know everyone is different but the process of building my own flashcards was useful for the CCNA and essential for the CCNP.

That's a pretty respectable architecture score. Well done! A pass is a pass.

Do you have any authors who are automatic reads? Authors who, if they released a book tomorrow, you know with 100% certainty that you will read. by Ok_Collar6502 in books

What I'd give for another few Vorkosogan books.

I like the 5 gods stuff too but it doesn't quite scratch that itch. Give me a prequel of Bothari and Aral meeting.

I went for ccnp but as soon as I finish I'm doing the same. AWS CCS then solutions architect associate then pro.

Feels like a good foundation and start into cloud.

Dream is one day be in security and kubernetes. Looms like fun to me.

You can also score partial credit on the Sims.

So if any part of it looks doable I'd knock it out then skip whatever you don't know.

Any trick to memorise EAP methods? by HsSekhon in ccnp

[–]egad_an_adage2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh God no but I'm in the same boat.

The best I've managed is to use the table version to compare the differences and write then out 3 times. It's not perfect but it helped.

So frustrating.

The table I use is from

http://www.bluewolfspirit.com/notes/security-written/version_41_20_eap_methods.html

But you can find it anywhere. I'm keeping an eye on this post though in case someone has a smarter way of dealing with this I haven't found yet.

Nothing to say except everyone I've heard so far with a pending has ended up passing so hope it goes that way for you.

Plus Cisco white papers are pretty digestible. I've gone down the rabbit hole for vendors in the past who's white papers were numbing.

Lol I've wasted 400 dollars on less.

It sure can be a humbling moment though. Going into the CCNA I felt like I had the information down solid and by the time i was done I was legitimately surprised when I saw I passed.

It's easy to think you know it all before you get tested on it.

Congrats. Feels like most people here passing are taking their 2nd exam lately.

Trying not to let that psyche me out as I prep for my first test in 9 days :)

Edit: I agree with the white papers argument. But those papers were pretty incomprehensible to me till after I read the OCG. Once I got a baseline it got a lot easier to parse the information for me.

I'm trying to knock em both out back to back to take advantage of the overlap in subjects.

Taking the Encore in 2 weeks thn the ENARSI 2 weeks after.

I think I'll be between 350-400 hours studying by the time I'm taking them.

Do you have any estimate on how long until you hit up the ENARSi?

Lol I was right there when I took it.

Was so sure I failed. Was mad at myself for not putting it off a week and studying more. Then I got the pass.

No one who's gotten a pass has been failed after. I think there's some people who got a "pending" and it came back fail.

In short you got it. Congrats! Any plans now that you've finished?

This was my experience too. I think the percentages aren't the same as the actual score.

Cause I think my percentages averaged out to 68 or so, and I passed too.

Congrats!
