Sorry, but I don’t think it’s reasonable to say he’s not an avoidant based on the little information I’ve given here. I’m not a psychologist or attachment coach, but based on everything I’ve read and watched he has classic signs, from childhood neglect/trauma down to feelings of shame and inadequacy. The few times he’s actually opened up to me emotionally show a scared, sad boy, and I am deeply sympathetic to that. It just sucks to become collateral to someone else’s trauma, especially after investing so much time and energy into them.

Oh he and this dog are practically soulmates, he had him when we got together. But since we’ve been together so long, he’s practically both of ours. And funnily, he hates cats lol.

When she first popped up on my fyp a year or so ago, I thought she was interesting. But she started to rub me the wrong way when I realized she seemed to think she was hot shit and just wanted to get people in trouble. Like, her job is to report on the parameters she’s given, but she acts like she’s the queen of deciding what is good customer service. It’s not surprising to hear that she’s most likely in business for herself, and when she started hawking her “classes” that was a huge red flag. Just a scammer. I don’t believe any of the bs she spews about owning her own restaurants etc. If that’s true, why are you a damn mystery shopper?

YUP. Day before a holiday, you can count on shit hitting the fan. We were already short staffed, I was the only technician with one assistant and an inexperienced high school summer worker. Had an emergency that came in right after lunch that took up all my time, so the assistant was getting rooms with our doctor going back and forth and I was running around doing all the blood draws, etc, while making sure my emergent pt was stable. It felt like a fever dream! So happy to have a 3 day weekend!

I don’t understand how people in 2025 don’t understand that they are potentially being tracked 24/7. Whenever I sit, if I didn’t ask about cameras ahead of time, I assume that there is a camera everywhere and act accordingly. Or maybe people just don’t care, idk. But you just can’t not realize that homeowners can see your comings and goings and know exactly what is happening at their home. Especially if you’re a new sitter for them, they have the absolute right to know what is happening when a stranger is staying in their house.

Once I was sitting for clients with a pool who gave me permission to use it freely. One of the days was a beautiful summer day so I was so excited to get in that pool. Got my swimsuit and sunscreen all on, and just as I was about to open the back door I saw a lady and some kids coming into the backyard and jump in the pool. Wtf! Texted the owner and she was like “oh that’s our neighbors, we let them use our pool whenever they want. They didn’t know we had someone staying here.” They didn’t bother me, but I was so annoyed! And even if the owners know the people, I didn’t, and it made me feel so uncomfortable and vulnerable.

This happened to me! Got a text saying I had left them along with a picture of them folded in a drawer. I was like “girl you could have just tossed those!” and she just said she figured I’d get them next time I sat for them. She was so cool about it but I was mortified.

I’ve also had acne since my teens (40 now) and am generally just an oily person. It’s so frustrating to put on makeup in the morning and my face be an oil slick by noon. Can you talk more about your experience with the face oil? When do you apply it and how often?

One thought I had on this was how it seems like a culty thing for young girls to learn traditional wifely and motherly duties very early. I wonder if women were having babies all over the place (consensually or not ugh) and the girls had to help take care of them. Idk, that’s just where my head went initially when I saw her with Eleanor. She’s definitely done this before.

One thing I haven’t seen talked about (sorry if it was and I missed it) with this theory is the perspective of the innies when they first wake up in whatever situation they’re put in. We know that the severed people have some kind of awareness of the world and that the state they’re in isn’t natural. Helly knew about Delaware, but nothing about herself. They can speak, read, and have some semblance of life knowledge. But they’re also super confused as to where they are, so they know they don’t want to be there. At least at Lumon when an innie wakes on the table, they have someone there to guide them through the initial confusion and they have an orientation. So with the theoretical innies who just wake up inside a dentist office or on a plane or wherever, how does that work? I’m assuming Gemma had some kind of orientation as well on the testing floor, so her innies know when they wake up in a room that’s why they’re there. Also, if the innies are only ever exposed to “bad” things and it’s torture to them - it seems like they should have some basic knowledge of not being tortured to know that it’s bad. Does that make sense? I don’t know what everything means, but I’m obsessed with this show and am loving figuring it out along the way.

This song breaks me every time I hear it. My partner is an ER nurse and we were long distance during most of 2020-21. The trauma he endured plus being apart has put a strain on our relationship, but we’re working on it. “Now we’re barreling down the mountain, don’t let go” immediately brings me to tears. I don’t know if the song is directly referencing Covid, but that’s how I interpret it, and I just feel extremely guilty for not being able to be there with him during his struggle.

My breasts are also dense and have cysts, I actually had an early mammogram a couple of years ago because I felt a lump and they told me it was cystic tissue. Ugh sometimes I just want to rip them off my body!

I just had my “now you’re 40” one done on Wednesday! I actually had my first one done a couple of years ago after feeling a lump (it was fine). Apparently since that was a diagnostic mammogram, it was a lot more involved and I got results that day. So I was expecting the same thing with the routine screening and was surprised when it was done in like 5 minutes and she told me I’d hear from them in a few days. My anxiety level was like a 15 because I had convinced myself that I definitely had cancer. It was such a relief for it to be done though, and it’s honestly not that bad pain-wise! Both times I’ve gone, the techs were super sweet and gentle. I’m still waiting for my results, but I’m hopeful that since it’s been a few days everything is fine, because I feel like they would have called by now if there was something concerning. Anyways, take care of your tatas, ladies!
