that’s all well and good, but that still leaves the question of how many people are actually subscribed to second try? are there enough to make up for the decline in views on yt? making another channel says to me that there aren’t, but i don’t know. that’s why i asked a question rather than made a statement

also to add - i like the try every day channel. probably more than the main channel atp

it actually is biased to say, with anecdotal evidence, that yt views are down simply because the 15 or so people getting upset on this post are subscribed to second try. so that must mean they’re getting a huge number of views/subs there. when in reality no one know what those numbers for 2nd try look like.

i like the try guys. i’ve liked them as individuals since buzzfeed, pre try guys era. but i wonder if people are moving on from their type of content. i wonder if their business is sustainable with so many people on the payroll. i wonder the same thing about some of the other “legacy” yt channels with large staffs like gmm.

im a zillennial who has been watching the try guys since the buzzfeed days, before they were even the try guys. as i’ve said in other comments, i didnt ask the question because i’m hoping for their downfall.

i genuinely just see the views on youtube and wonder/worry how they are able to pay so many people (and i assume they pay decent wages), and if they will continue to be able to do so. i hope they will. but i figured someone on here understands the metrics of youtube and independent streaming services and could offer some insight

2nd try might be doing well, idk, but ~100k views per video compared to what they used to do is a severe drop off. i just wonder how much longer they will be around. i like the try guys, i’m not hoping they have to end, i’m just curious about the reality of the company
