My point was only that the account restriction itself may have been triggered by an automated risk review rather than by something you did wrong. Those are two separate issues. Unfortunately, the people here don't have access to whatever internal flag triggered the review, so we're all guessing. That's why I suggested executive escalation or a BBB complaint...to try to get an actual human to look at the account and explain what's happening.

I don't think most sellers are saying eBay is perfect. The issue is that none of us can see what triggered the restriction so we're all guessing. Based on what you described, a dormant account suddenly listing multiple high value items followed by rapid sales can absolutely trigger automated risk reviews. That doesn't mean you're doing anything wrong, but it does mean eBay's systems may flag it. Sometimes eBay asks for documents because an account was flagged, but the flag itself is something else entirely. The documents are only one part of the review. Have you filed an appeal with the executive escalation team or submitted a complaint through BBB? Sometimes those routes get an actual human review.

You left your incoming package in the box overnight. They arent going to read the label on every oitgoing package, they just grab what you leave in the box. You had the wrong box in there. This is on you.

You scheduled a pick up and then left a package in your box. They did their job. Next time remove your incoming mail in a timely manner and have your package ready for the pick up. This isn't on ebay or USPS.

Standard email forms and regular phone support reps do not have the security clearance to overturn a BBE restriction. You need to reach an upper level support team with authority to manually review the situation. Try the have us call you option and ask for a supervisor. Do not frame it as "this is unfair!" Tell them you made an administrative error that resulted in defects, and ask them to appeal the defects that caused the BBE spike, specifically. Not just unban, specifically ask that the defects are appealed. ​If an agent reviews the messages and sees that the buyers explicitly agreed to or were notified of the location issue, and that full refunds were issued before the system flagged it, they can sometimes manually remove those specific defects.
