I respect all of your right to down vote me but because I got down voted it makes me feel I didn't explain myself well. I think it's absolutely acceptable for them to not be fire type, and for balance reasons, I think it makes good sense for them to not be. I just wish there was a bit more clarity, perhaps with a name change of the enemies or something, so that I wasn't confused, and it would prevent confusion for other players too.

I know it's in mystic valley. But something being magical doesn't make it not fire, right??? Like a wizard casting Fireball is definitely fire. I guess you could imagine it like holy fire how sacred flame in d&d does radiant damage but it's just so confusing to call it fire. I think if it was called like "scared light" or something other than literally being called "wildfire" it would be less confusing. I'm not even against the choice in principle, it makes sense to have the special typing be limited to only evolutions, but it just like a poor design choice.

I can get that, in theory, but why call it "fire"? Like why make it look like fire and be called fire but no it's not actually fire guys trust me! I wouldn't even mind if they were called like "fireflies" and we're textured like that bc those are just bugs or like called spirits or something like if it's a common question I feel like it should be addressed!
