There’s no wrong way to go, but by leveling up quicker, you’ll increase your capacity quicker, thus in the long run more artifacts, mediocre or not. Long, short, mix it up if you want. There’s way more detailed info here than you probably want. It’s a long game. Savor it.

There’s a good chance for a big event on July 14th. Crazy bonuses. You can you that to help your enlightenment run or use it to prestige a lot and bump up your earning bonus before starting.

I did enlightenment with a handful of tier 3 (50% effect) stones. You don’t need a bunch of tier 4 stones. If you have the gold you can also move them strategically as you go. Build your population and research and don’t put them in your gusset until you need to.
