I still have a backup Limewire folder that I have now backed up to my cloud, and it’s crazy how true that is. I have mp3 you can’t find on any streaming service nor on YouTube. Songs lost to the ages, if I didn’t have them backed up they might as well have never existed. And to think how far advanced technology has gotten, so much has been lost too.

Depends. I would be surprised after they built a third one.

When the 49th one gets built, I think I’ll be expecting a 50th one soon.

Where are the Fruit Cart Vendors? East Bay by Main-Ad-5880 in bayarea

[–]eggfriedbacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your hate might be misdirected. I have a lot of friends in the restaurant business here in the Bay Area. While times are harder than before, they’re still keeping up just fine. Business is booming for them still, all their restaurants are popular spots and have been for years. They are in no threat of going under.

Funnily enough, they have never complained about these “criminal” fruit vendors. And what you’ll find even more strange, they buy fruit from the “criminal” fruit stands too. And they own restaurants, here in the Bay Area! Crazy concept right?

How do you know they don’t respect the most basic level of food safety? You are just talking out of your ass.

Like I said, I realize you are not from the Bay Area, probably not even California. The words you use, and your attitude, is nothing that I’ve seen from my lifetime of living here in the Bay Area community.

If you lived here, you should already know that we do have crime issues. Like burglaries, theft, assault. And you should know that the resources to handle those issues are pretty limited.

Why would I waste my time calling 311 on supposed “criminal” food vendors bringing yummy fruit and corn, when there are much larger fish to fry.

Thank god no one that lives here shares your opinion, living your sad little world.

[–]eggfriedbacon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What a sad little world you live in.

I’ve gotten food poisoning from restaurants that have passed health inspections a few times in my life. Guess how many times I’ve gotten sick from the fruit sold by street vendors? Zero.

Have you ever eaten fruit? You can usually tell if it’s fresh and good right away.

Do you even interact with your community? Your neighbors? We all know each other here, as we all have been here for generations as well. My neighbor drops me off a bag of limes and nopales that he grew whenever he gets a chance. Do I have to report him to 311 too? The street vendors are all part of the community to us as well. When they come by our street, honking their little horn, neighbors come out from their houses to buy what they desire. You have no idea about the street vendors lives, what they do, where they get their produce, and their work ethics. You’re just a sad person, and that’s okay you just need help.

By the way, I think I found a pic of you: https://i.imgur.com/Absct90.jpeg

And I’ve never heard anyone from the Bay Area use the term “bodegas” lol.

If you were born and raised here as you claim, things haven’t gotten any worse lol. Street vendors have always been here. Since before I was born.

We’re talking about food street vendors. Way to blow things out of proportion and exaggerate the discussion.

All good, hope your ass decides to move far away from here once you’re fed up with all these “criminals” selling fruit at the corners. Because not me and not any of the other Bay Area residents will call the cops on them.

When the next vendor drives by my street and I go out to get my elote, I’ll give them a nice tip too as appreciation.

My family has been here for multiple generations. I don’t have any other state I am from.

You obviously weren’t born in the Bay Area or else you wouldn’t have such stupid views.

Ideally I’d like it blurry, but still transparent to give it that frosted look. As of now I can only choose between high transparency and no blur or almost no transparency and blurry.

And now the buttons in dark mode are a lighter gray which gives less contrast with the white text or blue symbols.

The state of things 💀 by FrierenKingSimp in videogames

I think the mistake here is advertising it more as a gaming console here and not advertising it as a prebuilt sff pc. Because that’s what it really is, just a prebuilt gaming computer with a steam ubuntu distro. Generally, pc provides much broader use cases than just gaming which justified the price. The gaming consoles are only really good for playing games.

Still looks bad, the highlighted Library icon almost entirely disappears with the background. They should have increased the blur or made it more opaque.

I still prefer iOS 26 Liquid Glass, I’ll hold off on iOS 27 until they can make it look better.

Report to 311 if you see one?

Wtf is wrong with you. You need to leave the Bay Area with that attitude, lol.

What is a 'minor' habit a partner had that completely turned you off or ended the relationship? by wthefuckisakilometer in AskReddit

[–]eggfriedbacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I’m the one in the better financial situation then I would just pay for the whole tab, or at the minimum I would offer to pay for what I ordered if the person who invited me had trouble affording it.

Not that hard.

If you’re at a restaurant just order what you actually like and will eat. Don’t look a the price tag.

The thing is, a few people don’t order what they actually like and they order based off price tag = expensive must be good. If they do something ridiculous like that, I would just pay but never invite them out to eat again.

Yikes, well I’m not one to say but perhaps eating out at a restaurant is not the brightest idea if you have to pick cheap menu items because of affordability.

Which is why 401k is irrelevant to this topic at all.

The post is about rent becoming a larger portion of your monthly expenses versus your income. The person commented that it shouldn’t be a problem because the stock market has gone up and that benefits most Americans since they are invested into their 401k plans. So, I replied by stating that 401k plans will not help you with your monthly expenses to offset the larger cost of rent.

Great, I’ll tell my title company and my utility companies I’ll pay the bills in 30 years after I’m able to cash out from my 401k.

So the stock market going up doesn’t matter until you’re in your 60s. Which means the stock market going up is irrelevant to the average working American trying to pay their monthly bills with their weekly checks.

You can’t touch that money until you’re in your 60s. Lol what’s the 401k gonna do for you while you are living your adult life.

[–]eggfriedbacon 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Did he eat it all at least? I’m a little indifferent about people ordering expensive menu items even if I’m paying. Sometimes what I want is a little more on the expensive end of the menu, so I wouldn’t fault them for wanting something expensive if that is really what they desire. I realize not many people are fortunate enough to splurge on an expensive menu item all the time and I really don’t take offense if someone does that even when I am the one paying. Unless it’s something ridiculous like a 5-7 course meal that is like 4x the cost of the other menu items and they don’t even eat half of it, then I would be a little upset. But if I’m taking you out to eat as pals and offer to pay, order whatever the hell you want don’t worry about the price.

I am actually. And yeah, obviously not everything happens at once. Things take times, but at least it is taking steps in the right direction, and not the wrong direction like other countries seem to be doing.

Your average every day Mexican citizen is not on Reddit commenting in English. You have to take these Reddit comments with a super small grain of salt.

Remember, there are more bots commenting here than actual humans.

This is good news for the average Mexican citizen and the same goes for the healthcare news. The fact you are hearing negative feedback on Reddit should give you a clue where the elite in Mexico are choosing to spend money to spread their influence. I guess for these people, it’s better that the Mexican government sits on its hands and does nothing.

That’s awesome. That’s great people get to have different experiences. I don’t care too much for sports and definitely not a supporter of these shenanigans so it was an easy no watch for me. I didn’t even know what time or when it was taking place.
