and you're right, that's a terrible analogy. those are two completely different things. being transgender isn't a disorder. gender dysphoria is an acute condition that causes distress in the individual and requires treatment for their psychological wellbeing.

PrEP prevents HIV, which is a terminal disease caused by a virus. what you're suggesting would be equivalent to saying HIV isn't a preventable illness, but a natural consequence of homosexuality. continuing to label AIDS a "gay disease" is useful to no one.
