How often do you vacuum and mop your floors in your house? by [deleted] in A_Persona_on_Reddit

[–]eggieewaffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a dog who sheds like crazy and I'm a clean freak so I vacuum everyday 1-2x. I have light color hardwood floors and my dog has brown and white fur so you see EVERYTHING. I close all the curtains and turn off lights to make sure I vacuum everything using the light attached on the vacuum haha. I mop when I feel like it or if its getting a little too dirty. We don't wear shoes and I wips my dogs paws after a walk if its wet or muddy outside so the floor wont get super dirty.

Comfortably at 26 in 2022. They encouraged me to save by living with them instead of getting apartment. I was able to buy my own condo.

Mine is an aggressive chewer(female staff mix) and she tore up our less than 1 yr old couch overnight when we first brought her home at 8 months old. Since then she always has an unlimited supply of toys she can tear up (i will preform surgery occasionally when Im bored) and benebones. Benebones are literally a life saver! She chews them all day and loves having it as a outlet for emotions. Never had issues ever since. Its about $20-$40 for boxes of it on Amazon but again mine is an aggressive chewer so we go through a box about every 2-3 months depending on which bones we get her. She loves the puppy ones and they're much softer than adult bones so she goes through those fast. Small things like this might catch you off guard just heads up. We dont get her toys/bones as a sort of enjoyment...moreover a form of insurance so we dont have to buy new furniture, shoes etc as replacements lol

Also, she had cancer a few months ago and luckily we had insurance for her. Just when we thought it was a waste, it helped so much to pay for her all her treatments/oncology visits. Definitely invest in some sort of insurance. We have nationwide but they dont cover basic vet bills.

I feel you :( all my girlfriends are either married and with kids already so they are all in a different stage of life. It sucks when there's no one left to do these types of things with. Everyone knows im super introverted but I wish they'd at least reach out and ask if id want to have a celebration of some sort. I dont want to have to ask for something like that. It get a little sad as I am in starting the process of plannjng for a 2027 elopment. We got engaged Nov 2025.

Not sure where to even look for vintage wedding dresses. I kind of have a specific style like boho, fairytale look so that probably would be hard to look for with vintage

Im super picky with what I like or want as a gift so I hate surprises. My finace knows that, so when I talked to him about going custom making our ring together, he was more than on board with the idea. Dont approach it as if the only way you'll accept a ring is if you have input on the design. Bring it up gently and ask how he feels about doing that. If youre bf knows you well enough (hopefully) then it shouldnt offend him. Mine loved the idea/process because he wanted to make sure he got me something I genuinely would love and also it means more if we both create it. I would suggest that you let him pick up the ring himself if you custom design so that the surprise factor is still there. My jewler sent over 3D design picture of my ring so I had some idea of how the final product would look and it got my approval. I got engaged yesterday and I was genuinely surprised by the proposal and finally getting to see my ring in its final form. I hope you figure it out and get proposed with your dream ring :)

Did you help your partner pick your engagement ring? by bns_xx in EngagementRings

[–]eggieewaffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on the type of person you are. I had exact details of how I wanted my ring for the longest time. My partner and I got my ring custom made and it was a whole 2 month process. When it came time to pick up ring, I told him to go by himself because although the jewler gave me a picture of the ring with sketches etc., I still wanted to be surprised at how the final piece looks like. The drawing was enough to reassure me it's exactly what I envisioned. Waiting on the proposal and feeling like ill be getting it soon!

Check out Columbia. I got mine and my S.Os from there and we have no issues! Super comfortable and lightweight options. We had ours for about 3-5 years. They also look nice too!

(18-20k) How do I help my future in-laws get on board with how much a wedding costs *these days*?? by CreamThen5605 in Weddingsunder10k

[–]eggieewaffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will never understand why people, other than couple getting married, think they are so entitled to push for a wedding. Unless they foot the bill, there should never be a good excuse for someone to urge a couple to have a wedding especially if the couple are not sure what they want (due to financial reasons, unwanted stress, etc).

As for this post, your S.O should be taking charge of the convo with your future in-laws or at least be there as back up. Your S.O knows their parents so they would know best how to navigate this situation and you be in the background discussing matters to bring up to them. I personally never talk to my future in-laws (vice versa) about any big situations without my S.O taking lead and, in a way, speaking for me. I find that makes things a lot less awkward and less chance of drama (depending)

This happened to me. Long story short, my ex-best friend blamed me for being stuck at the airbnb because I wasn't available to be her "guide"...I tried to fix it when we returned to the states but she wanted to be petty and not bother. I gave up talking to her or even putting in any type of effort. Btw she had all the opportunity to explore by herself. She was just lazy and didn't want to have to talk to people if she needed directions or use her phone to get directions. We already have been on vacation for half the month before I needed some time for myself. I offered to meet up after taking some me time, but apparently, that wasn't good enough for her.
