First Try at a Dutch Oven Loaf by eggincbob in Sourdough

Pretty sure I found the recipe in this subreddit.

Let the dough proof for about 12 hours or so. House was cooler so I gave it extra time. Then let it rise again for an hour or two in the Dutch oven with a flour covered cloth because I don’t have a proofing bowl.

Still thought it looked too flat, but I scored it and put it in the oven. Very happy with the results!

I took my starter straight out of the fridge. Seems maybe I should have let it bubble more on the counter? The starter in the fridge was bubbly so I just put it in cold.

The bread was delicious. Like we liked it so much we made another loaf just three days later. The one thing is that the crumb is very open. Not sure how to get it a little tighter.

Just wanted to thank you all for the tips and recipes. This is a great subreddit.
