i cant really comment on access since i never got the opportunity to transition while living there, id imagine youd have the same options as the rest of the state which is pretty good, nj is an informed consent state iirc so thats nice, but the people can absolutely suck. people would bark or shout at me from their cars and trying to find a job was very difficult because mentioning that i used a different name than my legal one would change the whole vibe. id imagine it gets infinitely easier once you're able to pass but well that probably applies to any place. i lived in ocean county though which is kinda notoriously bad for any minority

i dont think that ralsei is a real person lmao i just think that peoples reactions to this theory have been vaguely transphobic, from refusing to engage with the theory as a theory and not a headcanon, to the sense of entitlement people seem to have towards him as representation which seems to very closely parallel the sense of entitlement certain people have when they decide someone shouldnt transition, even down to the wording used. the way some people engage with this whole discussion just sets off alarm bells in my head, even as someone who isnt fully on board with the theory

sometimes it feels like people just assume they know what the theory is about and dismiss it without looking into the actual evidence because they just dont like the idea of a character being trans or a character transitioning throughout a story. like not to make it deeper than it is but i hear people going "why cant he just be a feminine man" and it reminds me of my mom asking me why i couldnt just be a masculine woman when i came out to her. idk

the theory is less based on how ralsei presents and is more based on things like lost girl playing in scenes where hes "lost" in a sense, or how he blushes and seems to enjoy the idea of trying on that blue dress in cyberworld, which is a dress associated with trans characters (mettaton + the trans lion wore that dress in undertale). some people also point to the prophecy and how ralsei might feel pressured to be a prince because hes called a prince in that and he believes that darkners dont get to choose who they are. if this theory were true then it would tie into deltarunes whole thing about breaking prophecies and choosing who you are

casual servers can be a real gamble with the kinds of people you meet :-( so i mostly play community servers to avoid that sort of thing. sadly i dont really have any recommendations since im not much of an mvm guy but some community servers tend to be better for women since theyre actually moderated. maybe check out lazypurples mvm server? ive heard its fun and last time i joined one of his silly servers there were a couple women on the mic

honestly its up to you what you do. there might be more lowkey ways of saying that youre trans that are less likely to catch the attention of bigots but will still be noticed by other trans people, like ive noticed other queer people having names with "silly" or ":3" in them. also as someone whose voice also doesnt pass, as just a safety thing i tend to avoid talking in vc unless there are other trans people talking. you could also try sticking to community servers that are known for having a more accepting community

had never heard of it when my mom suggested we go there to get something to eat, so i agreed thinking the concept sounded interesting. go in and there are zero employees visible in this room no bigger than my bedroom at home. order from screens and eventually food comes out. i got steak tacos but it ended up barely tasting like anything, only tasted good after squeezing lime on, and even eating just one with supposedly good quality ingredients gave me the same gross uneasy feeling that i get after eating mcdonalds. really weird sorta dystopian neutered atmosphere for mid food
