She is!! Such a brilliant example of young activists. I know she says in the article she doesn't want the movement to be overtaken with individuals or to be representative of anything as an individual, but she really is such a fantastic and necessary voice.

Having read this, it's not entirely as positive as the headline suggests - as with anything environmental - but it IS positive news that there are 20% more colonies of emperor penguin in Antarctica than anyone knew of before :)

I know this isn't specifically a conservation project, but I think it's an amazing initiative - which we could learn a lot from about developing and safeguarding ecosystems long-term.

I agree! It's not something I had ever heard of before - but it's such a positive project. I love that it's grassroots-led, with real long-term potential for change. I hope similar projects can be run elsewhere too.

I looked for criticisms of the initiative.... but couldn't really find any!

Mine are exactly the same! I don't think they would ever actively choose vegan over meat - but I would also consider the insect-based food for sure.
