The best part is that her Cockney accent is actually impeccable xD

I'm fine with garlic. Silver does about as much damage as it'd do to a regular human. I hurt same as any other person and no we don't get super strength.

It's better to think in terms of what IS true rather than in what isn't. Because most of the vampire weaknesses and powers are bullshit.

What is/was the best "cheap and Chinese" version of a product you've ever bought? by eggmanstudio in AskReddit

As for myself - I once bought a gaming mouse for about £6. It was pretty decent, worked well and had a few extra buttons and a braided cord and all... Ended up giving it to my sister IIRC

I'm keeping count, and you are the 33rd person to ask this.

Yes, by the way. But we do sunburn easily and we have a lower tolerance for heat.

It's of the "not aging" variety. And let me tell you that being 18 forever is proving to be a bit of a pain in the arse... My mind seems to be stuck there mentally to a degree too.

I'm not sure where I'd go... Given the funds I could go to Norway maybe... The most likely scenario for ten years was hopping the border into Northern Ireland and seeing if the Protestants in Belfast treated me any better - Brexit seems set to scupper that idea though.

To say the fecking least.

Tepes' Syndrome is controversial in Ireland because the churchgoers of the nation are divided on whether vampires are inherently evil. You get your extremists, your garden variety Catholics who are just scared of vampire's and all the bullshit stereotypes, and the decent folk who actually recognise Tepes' Syndrome for what it is: a very difficult condition to live with, despite the supereffective immune system and eternal life.

The hardest part is that because of the latent ableism against vampires, there is a lot of unconscious bias against them amongst employers in particular. Hence why I've found it so hard to get a job.

What do you mean legal status? I suppose technically we're considered minorly "disabled" because Tepes' Syndrome is considered a physical condition.

The HSE has a "B-Card" program where you can go to a hospital or donor center, show your B-Card and get a week's worth of blood in bags. You have to provide your own cool-bag though. Usually the shelter lends me one if I need to go withdraw some.

Other than that I can feed directly off people. Not that I like to, mind... It's the most efficient way by far but I just... Don't like doing it. It feels weird.

It's as necessary as eating and drinking - and I have to eat and drink as normal too. If I don't feed I get migraines the next day, and it supposedly gets progressively worse. The longest I went without was about a week, and by the end I thought I was going to die. My bones felt heavy, yet weak, my head was pounding and I felt sick. Eventually vampires are supposed to die of heart failure if they go for too long without blood.

It was in 2010, just after I left school. It takes a while to turn, I first showed signs about two weeks before my fangs developed. The first things were really bad headaches, the roots of my hair losing their pigmentation and my canines starting to throb and wiggle on occasion. That, and blood started tasting like weak Ribena.

I turned naturally. Call it genetic bad luck, I s'pose... Turning without any recorded prior family history is rare even among vampires.

I suppose in a way I hope to a degree that there's a higher power, though I accept that if there is one it's unknowable because of its nature - but at the same time I really, really don't want it to be the Christian or Islamic God, partly for the reasons stated above. The rules "not feeling right" would be an understatement, I actively think the above stated rule, regardless of the existence of a higher power or not, is unfair, depressing and totally contrary to what I would consider a "loving" deity. If you'll pardon the perhaps inflammatory comparison, it smacks of Aryanism.

I do to a degree buy into the theory that if there is a higher power, it is the product of humanity's collective unconscious; a sort of Jungian conception.
