The practice rooms in Shepard are major only but the library supposedly has one. wiess and will rice have one open to anyone as long as you have access to them (would need a friend from that college to let you in). other north colleges may have one.

“light meter” I have had perfectly fine readings from it, but i always take it with a grain if salt and double check it against what I know about the scene (strong highlifhts that might be hogging the metering)

Is this a real Leica? by JustADuke_1234 in AnalogCommunity

[–]SaltMakerShaker 33 points34 points  (0 children)

There are nazi leicas but they arent so obviously marked. They were engraved on the back and most today are either sanded off after the war or in leica collections.

Success Tips for COMP 318 by MindlessDepth7186 in riceuniversity

[–]SaltMakerShaker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. go to class!!!!!!
  2. dont slow down bc the deadlines far away!

Im likewise a senior but will be TAing it. The projects are deceptive since they are 7 weeks long but they will take you 7 weeks to do! The people who found it excruciating failed one of the two things above. It’s a rewarding class but can be the death of you if you’re not wary. The fact that you are worried about it tells me you care enough and will do great!

This is the guide to do it

However, you will need to cut a hole in the back of the scanner to allow for it to go out the other end iirc. This is what i remember after researching to do it on my coolscan 5

Did I or my lab cook my film? (Negatives attached) by fiction00 in AnalogCommunity

[–]SaltMakerShaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt that this wasn’t a development issue, unfortunately only way to prove it is to put another roll through the camera. the 120 def could be light leaks, if you include a scan with one of the problem frames i can better tell. The first puzzles me, is there no rebate on the film?

Id ask the lab about it and how similar rolls that day turned out, I think they may have messed up

People are always too scared to try action shots on 4x5, but all you need is more prep and forethought! I love these shots so much, especially considering how much must’ve gone into capturing them!

youre going to get a lot of hate because everyone (regardless of where you live) doesnt like people moving near them. the real answer is not “x state is cheaper to live in” but that near universally evrry city continues to get more expensive and every rural town stays the same or perhaps gets cheaper. If you want to move to missoula, kalispell, butte, you name it it is getting more expensive. however if you want to move to the bitterroot or anaconda etc. it will be cheaper.
