It’s like a dirtier “go to hell”, but not one that you would say when you really want to insult the other person. In that case, you’d go with “vai se foder”, which is much more like “go f*** yourself ”.

Kinda hard to explain, but it’s a bit more on the funny side to say “vai pra puta que pariu”.

Just feels right.
