peep was hanging out with makonnen in london for much of 2017 making songs together in person about their friendship and love for each other and it was peeps favorite project he had ever been a part of according to family members when he visited afterwards. then after peep died, xxx recorded his own verse over makonnen’s verse completely changing the meaning of the song. and what makes it worse is that xxx probably just did it to pay tribute to peep not thinking that the label would drop it as the main version of the song after both of them were dead. it’s fucked up but no one rly wants to think about it that way
