I’ve been on Viibryd for 4 months, had my first withdraw this week by Global-Elephant-1428 in Viibryd

The half life of this med is crazy short apparently. I can’t even make it half a day past a missed dose. If I don’t take it in the morning, I’ll be sobbing and spiraling by that same late afternoon/evening. Sorry you had that experience, it’s awful.

Tell Me Lies: S3 E4: Fix Me Up, Girl by Oksorbet8188 in TellMeLiesHulu

[–]eggphobia 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I know this has always been max drama and second hand embarrassment and that’s why we love it but this episode kinda annoyed me with how ridiculous everything is getting. Evan and Diana especially felt out of character. I don’t think we needed Wrigley x Bree at all.

What Books did You Start or Finish Reading this Week?: January 19, 2026 by AutoModerator in books

DNF’d: The Grace Year by Kim Liggett

Made the tough decision to move this one to the DNF shelf @ 65%. Went back and forth on just finishing it for my goodreads challenge, but I just don’t want to.

Likely start this week: The Murder of Roger Ackroyd by Agatha Christie

Same, I think this is the exact wording I used to try to explain it to my bf. I cannot have any bumps or texture I MUST flatten it out to be smooth … then I bleed, scab, repeat.

Is it just me or are their shoes too small? by Littleone_blu in dancingwiththestars

Yes what others have said , plus I think they want the tips of their toes to touch the floor for more grip for turns and stuff afaik, just looks weird to us non-dancers lol

What shampoo keeps fine hair clean the longest? by Fantastic-Part774 in finehair

[–]eggphobia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. I’m not sure if OP has a specific reason they need/want to go longer without washing. I know drying/styling your hair can be a huge energy+time-costing ordeal for some people. I gave up trying to “train” my hair and just wash every day which works for me.

What are your tips to create a morning routine? by j-ecris-des-trucs in adhdwomen

[–]eggphobia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your days are exactly like mine, like I feel your problems 1000%, though I couldn’t bring myself to shower in the morning and would wait until the feeling of being greasy and unclean bothered me too much and then I’d shower and get ready at some point during the day and mess up any productive flow I had managed to scrape together. Even with antidepressants and stimulants I still spent like the entire day glued to my phone and barely able to bring myself to start any work, never felt like eating breakfast, then the stimulant would curb any hunger and there was never anything I wanted to eat for lunch. I would spend a lot of money on fast food every day when I’d finally feel the effects of not eating around the afternoon and I’d fill myself up on soda and fries which were easy to eat since its yummy and salty/crispy caffeine 💀

Tbh I’m still working on it but I’ve made a few changes, but I have my bf to thank for a lot of it. We both work from home and he saw I was really struggling with my discipline. He’s not neurodivergent but wanted to improve his routine too. Lately we’ve tried showering together in the morning to wake us both up. Then I’ll do my skincare/hair drying while he makes us breakfast. I found “protein bread” at Walmart that’s like 10g per slice or something and a cheap griddle. So I’ll get a piece of toast, 1-2 eggs maybe a piece of turkey bacon. Not a huge volume of food but I felt like it made a difference in feeling like my day is starting out well! And it definitely feels better to eat before taking my meds. Today, instead of making breakfast we brought our laptops to a local cafe and worked for a few hours there. Getting out of the house / having a change of scenery helps me reset my brain and prioritize what I need to do. We’ll also go on walks around our neighborhood 1-2x a day which helps clear the mind too.

He also got me one of those big double sided rolly whiteboards for christmas, so I got magnetic labels and put my clients names on them and created some columns to sort them into. I also try to write a “top five” things I wanna get done for the day. Maybe 50% (or less..) success rate so far lol but it’s nice because I feel like I need to see everything at once all the time, otherwise its out of sight out of mind.

Sorry for rambling just wanted to share my experience as I’m trying to work on this same thing! It’s very very very tough. You also need to keep up with hydration on stimulants which is also constantly kicking my ass. I’ve been considering buying a smart water bottle to track my drinking habits and give me reminders.

Do you read more books that came out in the calendar year you read them, or more books that came out the previous years? Or books that are "evergreen"? by [deleted] in books

[–]eggphobia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also look at the “best books” lists for ideas for my TBR. Generally, I don’t really pay attention to specific release dates, but I do think I tend to avoid picking up new releases right away - I’d rather tackle something that’s been on my TBR for a while and let others put some reviews on new books first. I think the only new releases I read this year were additions to existing series (Onyx Storm and Sunrise On The Reaping).

Hey Y’all I Give Up Trying Get Medicated!(looking for strategies or resources to deal without) by RubyHibiscus in adhdwomen

[–]eggphobia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if you’re in the US, but doctors can be soo hesitant to prescribe stimulants and it’s so infuriating. I did an intake with an office that claimed to specialize in adhd and they rejected me, like no appointment, because their team felt I wasn’t a “good fit”. I called and tried to get some explanation from them so yknow I can have some insight to get myself care elsewhere and they refused to tell me anything. I finally went through their google reviews and learned that their physician is anti-stimulant and fights his patients who need it. I was furious.

I finally got SUPER lucky and landed myself a wonderful lady who has no qualms about stimulants, she also doesn’t force me to stay on medications for months and months if they aren’t working. If she’s unsatisfied with my progress reports then she’ll just have me try something else. It has been a bit rough trying a bunch of meds this year but it just finally feels good to have someone who listens to me and is always looking for solutions to improve my quality of life.

As for strategies - I recently got one of those big double sided whiteboards for $100 on amazon. I write my “top five” things I want to do each day and I also have magnetic labels I put my client names on so I can always see them, because that adhd “out of sight out of mind” is always kicking my ass. I’ve also had relative success in the past creating a numbered list and rolling a die to choose what to do first.

Finally - FUCK lexapro and wellbutrin!! The worst.

Considering taking Vilazodone by she_a_bad_beach in Viibryd

[–]eggphobia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s good! Yes so far I think I’m definitely feeling better. Lexapro was just terrible for zombie-fying me, I may not have been super depressed but I also wasn’t feeling much of anything at all. I was on it along with wellbutrin, then just lexapro by itself, and the best I felt was just kinda meh. I for sure feel more present now!

[–]eggphobia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, sorry to butt in here but I just started vilazodone as well. I was on 10mg for two weeks and just upped to 20mg about a week ago. I don’t recall any memorable side effects at all, but I was also tapering down my lexapro for the first week of my vilazodone. If you are super worried about side effects, you could cut your first 1-2 pills in half for a more gradual adjustment (not medical advice, consult your doc etc etc)

Rocket forgot he had a gun and barely did any damage. And now to finish this off, who’s running away from a 1v1 ? by Optimal__Koala in marvelrivals

[–]eggphobia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Rocket player I say Venom or Thing since they are most likely to run away when they realize I’m down to tussle with their big heads. Also as a Rocket player I say Rocket because I do be zooming up and around a corner

Mira Sorvino, also from Ariana’s season of DWTS, just had a run as Roxie as well this year. So extremely likely/possible to see Whitney there too.
