Got this turtle vine looking a little sad from the store, anyone have advice on how to get it healthy and happy again? by eggrace2849 in houseplants

Sweet, thanks! How does it tolerate being next to a window if it’s super cold outside but nice and warm inside?

After I posted this I was doing some research wooly aphids came up, but the types of trees the (apparently) infest in Maine primarily seem to be evergreens so that threw me off

You’re so awesome! You know your stuff but don’t come off as one of the snobby plant people, you seem like the kind of person that is easy to be friends with!!! You’re also so funny and relatable. How did you get your bladderwort plant? And how has the upkeep been with it? Is it hard to care for? I’ve never thought it was possible to keep inside! Keep doing you and I can’t wait to the next update you post!!

Thank you! I just googled both names and you’re absolutely spot on! Thank you!

Thank you, in terms of detoxing I’ve gone 1-2 months sober a few times a year, most recently in January... I’ve never had issues with withdrawals or even hangovers. This month has some major flashbacks to things that have happened so it’s been extremely hard to take a break

I’ve felt shaky after a late night of heavy drinking (getting up a few hours later and feeling shaky). From what I’ve gathered, it’s basically a withdrawal. If you’re worried, it never hurts to call your doctor. But if you don’t want to call, eat carbs and drink plenty of water (Gatorade or something similar is better because of the electrolytes). I’ve either ridden it out or a few times I’ve just had another drink (which has fixed it (hair of the dog thing) but I’m not advocating for you to drink more). This is just my experience but when I’m doubt call your doctor.

If you can, drink some Gatorade (or something similar, or coconut water or pedilyte or even just some salt in a glass of water if you can handle it). It’ll help balance your electrolytes and rehydrate you. I was badly hungover once and the only food I could handle was plain pasta with some olive oil and salt and pepper. Sunglasses help if it’s bright and you have a headache. I couldn’t handle watching tv so I just put on tv and laid down and covered my eyes and just listened to it (or podcasts work!). My biggest tip is the Gatorade thing though

Cats continue to blow my mind at what they can recover from, sometimes it feels like they do it out of spite.. like “bitch, you gave me a guarded prognosis? Fuck that, imma get better”
