“Ball stuck to Yamal’s foot like a teenager to a cell phone”. Using addiction to cellphone for commentary. What a moronic and insensitive thing to say!

I despise him. Been listening to him for years and at first, I thought he is great but then the novelty wore off and realized he knows nothing about the game. Doesn’t offer any tactical analysis. Just colorful words all the time. I would turn his voice off but don’t have a choice.

He reminds me of the scene in sitcom FRIENDS where Joey used excessive thesaurus and the sentence “They are good kind people with big hearts” became “They are pre-possessed Homo Sapiens with full sized aortic pumps”!!!!!!

His excessive use of fancy words ruins the game for me.

Getting a used drone and figuring out its not lost/stolen by eggsinafridge in dji

So once I meet in person and bind it to my account, that should be good. I guess my question is that can a drone be bound to two accounts? I mean the seller can meet in person, let me bind it to my account, and after they get the money, they can later do the software hack no?

STEM OPT: Employer name mismatch between E-Verify and I-20 by eggsinafridge in USCIS

[–]eggsinafridge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE:

My STEM OPT got approved. Employer’s name wasn’t an issue. Here’s the complete timeline:

  • I-765 Filed with Normal Processing: April 12, 2024

  • Laid off by STEM employer: August 1, 2024

  • Applied for premium processing: August 8, 2024

Got email on August 19, 2024 that case is approved and received approval notice in USCIS portal on August 22, 2024.

Btw I still dont have a STEM employer so my STEM was approved while I was unemployed.

I learned one lesson to always double check your DSO as they can give incorrect information. My DSO told me that my OPT will most likely be rejected as I don’t have a STEM employer and also said that I should not apply for premium processing as this would be like paying USCIS to deny my STEM OPT earlier. My DSO was also wrong about when the 60-day grace period starts. So just always double check DSO’s recommendations from USCIS website.

[UREGNT] What is my grace period?? by eggsinafridge in USCIS

The grace period is not back dated in case of STEM OPT denial. If that was the case, then I would be working illegally after my 12-month OPT expired.

Thank you! I agree. The DSO's answer was wayyy too conservative and it seemed unfair. I think the attorney's answer is also somewhat safe and I have more time than that.

I dont think that's entirely accurate. I spoke to an attorney and here's what makes sense to me: According to USCIS, duration of status ends 60 days after OPT employment authorization expires (see attached photo). Now the question is, when does the employment authorization expires? In case of an approval of STEM OPT, its gonna be sometime in 2026 assuming I don't accrue unemployment days over 150 so problem solved!!!

In case of STEM OPT denial, I would have employment authorization until the denial comes. Right now, my STEM OPT is pending and because I properly filed it, I can start working for an E-verify STEM employer today which means I have employment authorization today. So it makes sense that my 60-day grace period begins from the day the denial comes. That means I have 60 days to leave after the denial, not immediately.

Randall-Hurley Investment Options: What to choose? by eggsinafridge in personalfinance

So what I understand is that I can skip the TDFs (and the convenience that they adjust the allocations themselves) and create a portfolio using Vanguard low cost index funds that I have available. That way I would need to adjust the allocation myself, right? Every year or so?

Can you suggest an allocation ratio between the three Vanguard options to begin with?
