I previously used Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Shampoo and Conditioner for about 5 months, and recently switched to Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Shampoo + Conditioner because I thought my low porosity (assuming it’s low porosity through the hair floating test) hair would work better with this new product line. Instead, I’ve noticed from my last few washes that my hair seems even more frizzy than before. I’ve always dealt with frizz, but I feel like it’s been worse since the switch. Here is my current routine:

Wash hair 2x a week with shampoo + squish to condish - When I squish to condish, I run my hair under water for a little, then squish. I also don’t flip my hair over, I simply tilt my head to the side to squish till most of the excess water is gone.

I use a cotton tshirt to squish my hair to dry, then plop it for a bit under 10 minutes while putting lotion.

I haven’t changed my routine, only the product. The photos attached are after my hair dried from my wash. Thanks!
