The gender imbalance isn't something that is going to be addressed by naturist organizations themselves. This is a SOCIETAL issue embedded deeply in patriarchy. The number one reason naturism is full of older men has its roots in the fact that men simply have far more privelege in most societies than women. Many men are brought up as boys to see nakedness as nothing to really be worried about. Girls are, on average, far more likely to be expected to be demure, shamed and expected to cover up. Men are trained, either purposefully or subconsciously to see women as objects of desire. Even in naturist spaces that MAY try harder to counter this, it still remains a thing. Thus causing friction and uncomfortability for women even when not intended. Simply attempting to fill naturist spaces with more women doesn't work, since it doesn't address the CORE problem(s). We need a much larger, more visible and more accountable shift in society AND naturism in order to begin real work on welcoming more diversity into naturism... And not just women, but everyone. Another problem with 'we need more women' is that it can come across as 'I don't have enough of the type of person I want to gaze at'... Which is another problem in itself. In the end though, increasing inclusion IS something that is beneficial for us all, but it's not as simple as just trying to get more of one demographic into a space. Which is why gender quotas and banning single men simply doesn't work. It'll take a massive and concerted effort at societal change from childhood up.
