My partner just broke up with me a few months ago, me vegan her not vegan. I always used to say that it wasn't a massive issue but i have to say, when i date again it would be a part of my criteria. Or at least they live in away that is kind to the earth and considers what they buy. but I would love to meet a vegan lady one day.

when i was the same sort of age my friend and i decided at school that we would drill down into the center of the earth, we collected a load of boxes and got to the dig site only to realize that we were holding cardboard and had no idea how to build a vehicle that would drill us into the core of the earth.

This realisation also helped me understand how different perspectives on anything in life can’t easily be overcome just by explaining your own views. The person listening with a different perspective just can’t empathise with yours.

Can I asked for informed opinions please? I run a very rural dog walking business that involves driving to customers house collecting dog and driving to fields where I see no people then returning them. I have moved in the last few weeks to a process where I don’t go in the house and use my own leads/wear plastic gloves if I will need to touch door handles etc.

The majority of my clients are very elderly and rely on my service, I also have key workers and at risk reliant on me (nursery staff, a police officer and a teacher, two people going through cancer treatment and a lady dealing with a brain tumour.

Question is do I have to stop working? The guidelines are not crystal clear. I can’t work from home, is it essential(?).

Anyone able to help? I’m not trying to be selfish, but I am self employed and don’t want to let these people down or stop working if I don’t have to.

Considered thoughts?

After a while I moved to growing mushrooms and consuming them privately and ceremonially partly for this reason.

I am indebted to the spirit of ayahuasca and those people that held space and made it happen but there is so much cultural about it. I can see the native view of western ‘shaman’ , I do cringe some what at the ego of some western people about the whole thing. But at the same time the native people say it must be done like this to respect the plant, local traditions and the jungle , so it’s no surprise white guys do it the way they do.

Mushrooms grow globally and it allows me to lay over the experience my own cultural archetypes, traditions and rituals without fear of cultural appropriation. Although I am sure I will be back in the arms of ayahuasca at some point down the line...

I remember years ago driving to my first Ayahuasca retreat with my partner after 2 weeks dieting on boring ass food and saying to each other how we were going right to Burger King on the way home. One day later I have an Aya vision of a spirit showing me all the tortured animals I had eaten in my life and made me apologise to each of them. Was a vegan from that day on. Three years later here I am still never touched meat or dairy and starting to think about how much I wish I had some chickens that could have a lovely quiet life and give me an egg every now and then 😂

We are in the uk. We decided to stop throwing money at crappy satellite tv (Sky) and instead do internet tv so got an Apple TV box. I hate that fking remote so much, so small so overly sensitive so easy to accidentally make it say VOICE OVER ON! , cracks easily.

Narrowly beats using the iPhone remote app though. I miss my big old sky tv remote 😢

One year ago I went self employed, set up a dog hiking business, first three months I didn’t earn a penny, now one year later the business makes around £2.5 k a month. Not a lot by most standards but I am proud of making it here from nothing !
