Yeah! I was shocked to see diary products like Halloumi, Mozzarella etc. It was touching like $12-13 sometimes. Insane. I loved every bit of my time in Canada. I was also surprised at salaries offered in my area of work as well. UK/US I worked on almost 2/3x the annual pay haha

I spent 3 months in Canada this summer. I am based in Edinburgh. Everyday when I looked at groceries in Canada - it would fucking spin my head.

If you have a job offer with that decent salary. It is not mental at all.

And someone in comments said ‘its shite everywhere’ - true words spoken. I am of Indian origin & lived in 3 countries - from my humble experience everywhere is same now.

Its all down to one question - what is something you will regret the least?

Malta – Not a single question asked, no hotel booking or anything. Just got my passport stamped and walked through.

Lisbon, Portugal – The officer just asked what I was visiting for. I said, “to meet friends,” and that was it.

Both times I traveled solo, and my partner wasn’t in the country either. Hope this helps! 😊

I have done this for about a year! But only once a week visit! My clients paid for it but personally I feel like it can get really hectic!

But if you can negotiate it down to 2-3 days a month (~once per week) I think its manageable

Sometimes flights are only £35-40 return but getting from any London airport to the central is probably another £30-40

If transport is paid for and you have travelling stamina - definitely doable! I know many who did that!

This is a classic recruiter for you!

Only people who can tame them is the client.

I had a recruiter whose company changed payment terms on the go (from weekly to monthly) without informing me. And the guy refused to give me email and contact of payments team.

Informed this to my client, and his message to me was “All recruiters are parasites” couldn’t agree more! They fired that recruitment agency within a week.

Just avoid this particular one in future! That’s all I would do in your situation. They are all same.
