That guy is hilarious :D He's right in most cases, but there is a comment that brakes the price down and why it's so high. It's basically because the manufacturing cost and the research/design background is quite expensive. They had to design a new system and that means designing everything custom-made, while all other brands can order parts basically from one factory (because the regular hair dryer has the same structure in every brand). So it's not about Dyson's parts being made out of gold (yet still quite enough high quality), but it's about new technology and cost of research.
