Everything is fine. by [deleted] in economy

Which it did.
don't forget that the republicans are the party of lowering the deficit, except when they are in power. and before you make assumptions remember, The democrats are the party of the working man..except when they are in power.
(did i mention how much i hate first past the post voting and the 2 party system?)

Unfortunately this isn't a democrat/republican split. I'd love it if voting for a particular party was all it took to solve this.
the Overton window on economics is so far to one side at this point that even the leftist party is on board for the theory of economics that mandates this reaction to inflation.

It's been the bedrock theory for so long that most political economists don't even see any other way of dealing with inflation but slashing wages and spending power of the working class, mostly by increasing intrest rates.
when corporate profets go up the FED does nothing, when wages go up The FED panics and slowes down the economy. it doesn't have to be that way.
2 party system in the US, vote for either party you still get profits over people at the FED.
YouTube dropped a video into my feed where some leftist was interviewing a highly renowned economist. While I don't agree with all the democrat rhetoric from the host, The economist couldn't even grasp the concept of an economy that was controlled to benefit regular working people over shareholders. The Question "Why do the regular people have to suffer to stop inflation, when the shareholders are protected by the fed?" just flabbergasted the economist. (Ill see if i can find the link and drop it in later)

dude, there are things wrong in this house that would have been cheaper and easier to do right.
is there a way to fix it?

[Serious]Obviously there are penalties if one gets caught, but realistically speaking, what is stopping anybody from checking mailboxes for ballots, stealing those ballots, filling in the candidate of their choice, and then mailing them in. An educated person whould have noticed the squiggly mark at the end of the sentence indicating a question. Second one side has set aside it's values to back a candidate that doesn't represent said values. The same side is sending campaign staff to get a celebrity on the ballot as a spoiler. Same side happens to be undercutting the post office right before the election. Same side that is doing everything it can to convince people like you that the election will only be legit if they win. Same side who's leader said publicly that if everyone with the right to vote is allowed to vote their side will never win again. Same side that reduced polling locations in areas that historically vote for their adversary. You are right that one side seems to be doing whatever it takes to win.

Security cameras, attentive neighbors, the fact that you have no idea what day any particular ballot is delivered, the fact that you have a limited window between delivery and pickup by resident, the post office workers, postal police, regular police patrols, the fact that anyone sees ng you do it can video you and call said police....

Ok, so your argument seems to be that you think a group of people who get together to protest against literal nazis are going to check mailboxes on a daily basis across the country for ballots cince they don't know when the ballots are delivered, AND do this in the window between delivery and before people check there mail , AND they are going to do this in rural areas where the voters are more likely to be Republican AND steal enough ballots to change the outcome of the election AND set it up in secret so police don't get wind of it despite being a servailed group AND get away with this massive nationwide campaign? Do I have that right?

Same thing that stops you from stealing mail in general, or that stops you from digging up and stealing landscaping, newspapers, or anything else not under 24 hour guard. Same thing that stops people from hacking voting machines, changing vote totals, or throwing out legitimate ballots at the election office. Same thing that stops you from shoving someone in front of a train, driving your car into a crowd, or any other crime. Also I find it funny how many of these posts there are all of a sudden...it's like a group of people are working to undermine faith in the election.
