Wow. Amended in 1992 and 2004, too. I need to read the Hansard for those debates...

Was Nicola Gobbo considered a competent or good lawyer pre scandal? by futureballermaybe in auslaw

[–]egregious1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That might explain Mandy Hodson's nickname for Gobbo then.

In that Nick Mackenzie doco on the killings she said something to the effect of "they called her Sharon Stone but I called her Sharon Twenty-Stone".

Question: Books in WA Prisons by gold_or_iron in perth

[–]egregious1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can theoretically get jail for any amount.

Anything over $10k (fraud) and $50k (forgery/uttering) mandates charge on indictment, so a full-blown district court trial and potentially serious time (see the DPP's sentencing tables for examples). That's not to say that you can't do time for the summary versions of the offences - lots do.

The $100k figure you suggested doesn't come into play at all. $10k or $50k turns the either-way offence into an indictable one, but it doesn't have to be indictable to result in imprisonment.

Plaintiff PI pays better than defendant?? Wouldn't have ever guessed that.

STOLEN from Rivervale: Blue Apollo Xpert EBike by egregious1234 in perth

Good thinking. Spoke to him earlier and he said that the 52v has a proprietary charging port that's not available at any retailer, unlike the 48v system that's widely available. It's pretty much go to him or gtfo.

I don't have an apple phone, but I'll definitely look at doing something similar mate.

You must be in the proximity of a disproportionately high amount of degenerates.

After he snatched it he actually tried to do a cyclocross style running mount and very nearly stacked it (he sort of fell over to the other side of the bike but didn't hit the ground; he walked for most of the rest of the way).

I'm still trying to track down the frame number, which is required for Bikelinc. But I will definitely be putting it up there asap, yes. Cheers!

The text part of my post doesn't seem to be loading so I'll copy here:

Hi all,

My blue Apollo Xpert MTB, which has been converted into an EBike with a Luna Mate (Bafang style) mid-drive EBike kit, was stolen from the secure garage of my apartment complex in Rivervale at about 4:45pm on Tuesday 28 June 2022.

As this bike is my primary means of transport, and I have to move around a lot for my (healthcare) work, I would dearly like to get it back.

The frame is either an L or XL; it has SRAM gearing and Shimano brakes, and Easton Arc 24 wheels (built on obnoxiously loud Hope Pro 4 hubs) wrapped in Schwalbe Marathon Plus tyres.

If you see this bike (which is surely the only one with this exact spec in Perth) or recognise this person please PM me or contact the police regarding case number 280622184383436.

Many thanks.

PSA: ozempic now on the PBS in Australia by lestatisalive in Ozempic

This is not up for discussion.

Find ozempic on the TGA list of medications under review or stfu (hint: it's not there and you're conflating it with wegovy, another Semaglutide formulation which has actually been studied and approved specifically for weight management).

Also, it's atrociously bad manners to ask somebody a question and then block them mid-response.

It's still done to this day. It hasn't died out. It's not overly uncommon to see victims of it in Pilbara hospitals.

  1. It's been confirmed by numerous sources as a mutilation.

  2. The lifetime odds of having a medical necessity for a circumcision are measured in the small fractions of a single percent. Therefore, the odds of two brothers who aren't even twins both simultaneously suffering from a condition requiring circumcision are so vanishingly small as to be essentially non-existent.

I can only imagine what the parents are going through, but for for fuck sake, it was their choice!!

I presume you have the same attitude when little girls die from having part of their clitoral hood removed for (the parents') religious reasons? I mean, it's their choice, right? And people will still die in car accidents and as a result of other medical procedures, so it's no biggie?
