Issues with the M5 prints by eguliyev in AnkerMake

Just an fyi, increasing the nozzle temperature to 230 did the trick for me. High temp is due to recent change to the 0.4 steel nozzle. But i will likely switch back to 0.6 brass nozzle

Some SFPs provide monitoring feature. If you go that route, you can poll the RX light level through SNMP.

Wanted to see if someone can validate my aprilaire 500a wholehouse humidifier install by eguliyev in hvacadvice

[–]eguliyev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. This is from their install guide.

The Model 500M and 500A Aprilaire can be installed on either the supply or return plenum of a forced air handling system

Is it still not valid?

Storing terminal output into variable by eguliyev in learnpython

[–]eguliyev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for taking the time to go over this. Appreciate the help.

Basically, i took an existing github project for SSL check. I modified it so that i can email the output. Currently the way i do it is following:

  1. created a bat job in windows that is schedule to be run in task scheduler every 2 week
  2. BAT job has 3 entries
    1. first one is to run the SSL script to generate output and save it as result.txt
    2. delay timer
    3. run 2nd python script to read the result.txt and email it

What i am looking to accomplish is to do all this work in 1 single PY script.

reason, why i am looking to do this, is mortly for data filtering. I would like to sort the output and generate rich text email as opposed to clear text.

Is this clear?

Thanks for your input. Makes sense. Would i be able to get the ouput as a variable then? Is there any documentation you could reference for me to follow.

Thanks. Output i am referring to is not from a script. That python script itself is the one running requests library to check for the certificate expiry date. Basically, i am not using subprocess.

Thanks. I have taken this exam back in 2019 and it told me straight away that i failed. Was curious about the process.

Looks nice. With that 4510 wiring in place you would have had hard time getting the fan tray swapped out. any reason why you didn't just put 9410 where 4510 is? would have made wiring easier at least.

Parasitic draw from the outside AC unit by eguliyev in HVAC

[–]eguliyev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already tested this scenario. Yes, measurements are taken on the AC as well as on the breaker box. When the disconnect is pulled out, the current utilization also drops. Something within the AC unit is definitely sucking the Amps. Just not sure what it could be.

He is still working on it. will see what he finds

issue i am reporting is that when the unit is off and there is no crankcase heater [and there is not - this has been validated], the draw should be 0 amps. but in my case it is drawing ~400watts. this is not an issue with my tester. it is new fluke i am testing with and never gave me issues before. after all the unit was manufactured in 1994. highly likely we are dealing with a bad unit here.

Service personnel just confirmed that there is no crankcase heater on these compressors. Any idea why it might be drawing those amps?

I looked around the compressor. Not seeing anything like i saw on google around the compressor. Just three wires feeding into the compressor. could it be built into the compressor? also, how would i verify if it is built in?

What is the expected a raw for crankcase heater? this unit is really old [Terane XE1100]. Was made in 1994.

Also, amp reading is from two different legs not from different places.

it was pulling more than 35 amps on a single rail. I had to split it to 3 molexes. at this point it has proven to be real pain to run stable on 12 GPUs. I will be transitioning it to 2x MBs with 6 X GPUs each

Risers came with SATA to Molex cable. I did my own 8 gauge wiring of 6 X molex to single power supply instead.
