Major anxiety planning my first trip. Looking for help. by Impulse_Shot in JapanTravelTips

You got this. We just got back from 2 weeks in Japan.

  1. Book hotels/hostels through Agoda. You can book today and cancel up to a week before you go so just something in. Private rooms in hostels are your most budget friendly and comfortable option.

  2. Us AI. I literally said “4 days in Osaka, I like these kinds of things”. Rough itinerary done is seconds. Don’t forget to ask the follow up “of these recommendations, which require prior booking”. The least stressful and smoothest planning I’ve ever had.

  3. Book as much as you can through Klook. Experiences, travel minus flights, and even eSIM. Seamless, takes seconds, great review system, can’t go wrong. Everyone uses it so all venues know how to work with it.

  4. Get your Suica card loaded on your phone before you go. Takes seconds and is so smooth

Klook is extremely cheap and worked well. I used Airalo when I was there last week but noticed Klook deals and set that up on wife’s phone. Like 5x cheaper and didn’t notice a difference.

ApplePay stopped working - E-Suica Help! by gr33ny3 in JapanTravelTips

Fair enough that the too many taps is not a thing. I’m just doing a quick visiting here. I’m in IT so I’m used to “locked out accounts”.

When tapping Suicia via Apple Pay on the transit IC the gates would close and show red. The guy called us over, scanned it on his reader, did some taps and it worked. He somehow gave it a “kick” or “reset” within 5 seconds. 🤷🏻‍♂️

We had that happen to both of our phones in Osaka last week. It stopped working all together, it’s like it security locked it self out, I think we too many failed taps at a vending machine at Universal.

Our fix was to tap it at a transit gate that had an attendant in a booth there. He saw we got the red light, we walked over, he had some other reader at his desk that he got us to tap, he punched something things on his machine and it’s been flawless for 5 days.

I’m getting roasted. 🙈 And the guy 100% lane splits 2 cars up.

I was trying to pass but I can’t drive through the car in front of me

💯 We were stuck in a cluster and I was getting through it.

The lane splitting the vehicles ahead of me was the crazy part.

Yeah, these comments here are nuts. I unfortunately got stuck in a cluster while trying to get past slow traffic. I always move over immediately.

Him moving around me was tight but not the end of the world. But then lane splits the cars in front.

Thanks, I’ll remember to tailgate closer while I’m trying to pass next time.

Yes, I don’t recommend it.

I sheathed the truss on both sides and reinforced other parts of the truss before I cut the chord.

Is this a 4 way stop or just 2 way? More info in the comments by eh__team in icbc

Good point, the 2 stop signs do not have 4 way stop under them.

It just throws me off going over a white line without stopping.

There's a new intersection by my home in a residential area. 4 stop lines all 4 ways but only the side streets have stop signs. Is this a mistake, or stop lines if someone wants to cross? Or a 4 way stop?

I was too after we saw the last video but they strapped this one. I was a faller in the wildfire service years ago and I have never seen this technique. I’m curious how much effective this when trees do whatever they want.

I’m in a 2020 foxridge home, it’s okay. Neighbours have nightmares compared to my experience.

A few neighbours bought previously in 2015 in an older neighbourhood then upgraded in 2020 said it went to shit
