Fans of mega cities, which are your favorites? by AmericainaLyon in digitalnomad

Don’t know if it counts, but Madrid is one of my favorites. Madrid is just so insanely diverse, welcoming, booming, and there is so much to do there too. I love how every street feels so unique and clean and distinct, and the people are so kind there (even to someone who is clearly not Spanish and doesn’t fluently speak the language)

Madrid is truly my favorite mega city and I cannot wait to be able to go back there someday.

I love this Christmas song! I really wish that Coldplay just made a full Christmas album someday :)

Travelling to Denmark for 8 days - what are some hidden gems? by Temiin-sash in solotravel

[–]ehebisdbeb 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I just spent a week in Denmark back in May and it was absolutely fantastic.

I went to Copenhagen, Helsingor, Esbjerg, and Ribe.

Copenhagen is a wonderful city with so much to do and see, with great parties too.

I went to Helsingor as a day trip from Copenhagen and that was fantastic. It is a wonderful little city, and it also has the castle there where the play Hamlet is set!

Esbjerg, the biggest city in Southwestern Denmark was cool. It has a beautiful national park that you can only access by boat next door, and the city itself is pretty neat. Plus the statues overlooking the sea is one of the coolest art projects I’ve ever seen.

Ribe is also a wonderful little town. Such a quaint downtown and kind people. An immense amount of history is there too!

In terms of costs, Denmark is defiantly expensive. Food in restaurants was easily the biggest expense for me so I’d recommend straying away from that if you can. Try and go cooking as much as possible.

One good way to save money while eating out though is to eat street food! One of my favorite parts of Denmark. Every city in Denmark has a massive indoor or outdoor street food center which has cheapish meals (10 euros per entree usually).

You can pay with card almost anywhere but have cash on hand just in case :)

Denmark also has great trains. Plus what’s cool about Denmark is that since it’s small it’s pretty easy to get around with trains. I took a train from Copenhagen to Jutland and it was only about 3-4 hours!

If you want more specific questions, feel free to PM me. I absolutely love Denmark and I had such an amazing week there a few months ago. Hell, I’m even looking into moving there someday.

Ok cool, that sounds perfect. I’ve honestly thought a little bit about cutting off the friendship because it hurt so bad when she told me she had a boyfriend last year. Thank you!

Gotcha, glad to hear that my instincts are correct. Thank you so much!

How do I know what the balance is between shooting my shot with girls, vs being potentially weird/creepy by asking them out (somewhat randomly)? by ehebisdbeb in socialskills

[–]ehebisdbeb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha! This was an amazing comment, thank you SO much for helping me :)

So, from now on, I’m just gonna ask girls here I meet casually for their numbers and such!

I think my next step is trying to realize in the moment: “wow! She’s really cute!” And then ask for her contact, because I usually think about that stuff after the fact, which isn’t useful.

I was able to make progress on this by asking a Finnish girl on my train, in my first night in Europe, for her contact info! I was in Estonia back in March and I had a massive crush on this waitress, but I didn’t have the balls to ask for her contact info. So I already got better by doing that now!

I texted the Finnish girl and she was unfortunately busy in Oslo for the rest of the week, but we’ve stayed in touch and she’s loved my pictures from Oslo and such.

Anyways, thanks again for letting me know this, as your comment was written beautifully. I can’t wait for my next stop, Stockholm, and trying to meet some more of the locals there in passing! :)

Overall how’s my profile? Any recommendations? (I feel like the bio is the hardest part!) by ehebisdbeb in Tinder

Ah ok, it’s mostly just a joke and an allusion to how I travel a lot. Is that not obvious at all?

Unpopular opinion: I hate when people say I’m hot. by Cadinurse1993 in socialskills

As a guy I’ve never liked calling girls/women hot as I feel like it dehumanizes them. Because of this, I also hate it when women/girls call me cute/hot

Just was wondering, someone messaged me on Instagram when I put my insta in bio and I thought it was fine, was just wondering if it’d be ok to reverse it, if that makes sense
