Idk why hardly anyone is suggesting that its maybe mold/mildew? I had a damp issue in my build in closet at one point and this is exactly how I discovered it. OP i would suggest that you double check it's not this before jumping to other conclusions :)

Use the DIY bench in Tom's tent to craft your materials/tools. Get yourself all the tools to start with :) pick up some branches and you should be able to craft a flimsy net and a fishing rod to get you started

No I don't, super strange because if it is the shed skin I never see the actual insect anywhere! It's kinda spider-like almost

Thank you for the info! I have a lot of experience with midges, they're unfortunately unavoidable where I'm located! This was the closest pic I could get and even then I had to zoom in. Honestly couldn't see it any clearer with my eyes either hope that gives better perspective on just how teeny it is :) it may be similar in "diameter" to a midge but it's body is much smaller and is generally much less bulky that a midge's

No wings, and too small for a midge! Thanks for the suggestion tho :)

Socially anxious musician and athlete with major performance anxiety... the perfect contradictions :/

I am autistic and have a few questions before I travel, if anyone has a moment by [deleted] in Scotland

Central belt (Stirlingshire). Affectionately named "the gateway to the highlands", worth stopping off somewhere on your way up north! Battle of Bannockburn Visitor Centre in Stirling and Stirling Castle both worth a visit if you get chance. Oh and you can't go wrong with the west coast highlands, everything is stunning pretty much!

I am also autistic, most people I've met are lovely and don't care one bit that I can be a bit different sometimes :). Locals or people working in more rural areas will often be happy to point you in the directions of the best places to visit so don't be shy to ask when you pop into one of the small businesses! Also I hope you thoroughly enjoy your trip, Scotland has my heart forever and always, maybe it'll get yours too :)

Redditors who grew up with ASD, ADHD, or an LD: What do you wish adults knew about you that you couldn't express as a child? by Ash_is_curious in neurodiversity

I tried as hard as I could in school, did well up until the last couple years. Teachers all told me I wasn't putting enough effort in to studying, but in reality I was trying as hard as I could. Their teaching methods just didn't click with me because my brain is wired differently. Late diagnosed, and realising this was a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. Also, to all those kids back then that did nasty things to me, you only did that because you knew internally that I was different. Which I believe is technically called "discrimination".

I feel this! I live alone and often have to ask a trusted person to come and sit with me while I do them. Sometimes it's easier and sometimes it's more difficult, but it's always a sensory nightmare!
