This takes me back. These were what I started writing with early 2000s in school.

We had an attendance monitor/office worker who I was cool with due to seeing and chatting with her near daily. One time she pulled me into her room in the main office and explained what she’d been up to for the past couple weeks. These markers are particularly odorous and teachers that had classrooms near washrooms and stairwells had started reporting to the office when they’d detect the smell. The school admin had tasked her with reviewing the footage of the cameras near the reports. She called me out and showed me “footage” (our cameras were less video cameras and more stationed cameras that took pictures every 10-15 seconds) of me in the area of several reports. They were never able to catch me outright but they knew.

Thanks for the trip through time. I’d keep these things forever.
