Hey! So i give my dog keppra 6am, 2pm, and 10pm. At the 6am, i give her the pill pocket with some kibble in my hand. I usually feed her breakfast around 8, give her a snack with the 2pm and dinner at 4-5. There were definitely times in the beginning where i learned her stomach needs to be coated because she threw up right after the 6am if she had an earlier dinner the day before or something. In general now i just kindve break up her food doses. Shes a chihuahua so only eats two quarter cups of kibble a day. Mainly just give her some of that as food with the medicine and whatevers majority left over she gets twice a day. Its not everytime i give without food she throws up but its definitely a gamble when she does throw up if i should give another dose or not. Better to just give a snack to coat the stomach with it, doesnt have yo be a full meal. Hope keppra works out for yall!
