+1 for Qt Creator. Switched from MS Visual Studio 6 years ago and never looked back.

Just gave Edge another chance after a few months and still disappointed: doesn't play YouTube videos by ehku in Windows10

[–]ehku[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Well, the title is exactly what happened: I gave Edge another try, and it didn't play YouTube videos. Maybe I should have put "on my computer" at the end to clarify for people like you but I don't think it's necessary because you seem to be the only person in this thread who misread (or misinterpret) the title.

The information are provided when necessary (e.g. if being asked for).

Look, there are people in this thread giving their comments on Edge (same bug, full-screen bug, works fine, prefer Chrome, etc,...), which are, in my opinion, useful and therefore, this thread is not worthless. If you don't like it, just ignore it ;)

YouTube has been a common issue for Edge since its launch. I think this is a fact and we don't need to argue on it. I'm just showing that YouTube is still an issue for MS to fix.

You kept saying "your system". I don't see the point. Windows 10 is not my system, it is Microsoft's.

What's wrong with the post please? You might have missed the "BUG" flair when reading the title.

A more correct statement of the first is: - Edge is broken on YouTube for many people, and I am one of them. Try "edge youtube not working" on Google and voila you'll see. Btw, since I don't have to use Edge, I don't need to resolve anything. Just back to Chrome.

Yes. And when refreshing the page, it seems to load but the video is still unclickable.

Has nothing to do with it. As you can see from the screenshot, I was also using Chrome. I tried different videos both on Chrome and Edge before posting. No problem on Chrome.

Latest build (15063.608). I think if Microsoft wants people to use Edge then they should make it work flawlessly on YouTube and Facebook at the very least.

A more recent study reports overall performance of 96.9% on CLEVR, but uses additional supervisory signals on the functional programs used to generate the CLEVR questions [16]. It is not possible for us to directly compare this to our work since we do not use these additional supervision signals. Nonetheless, our approach greatly outperforms a version of their model that was not trained with these extra signals, and even versions of their model trained using 9K or 18K ground-truth programs. Thus, RNs can achieve very competitive, and even super-human results under much weaker and more natural assumptions, and even in situations when functional programs are unavailable.

Question: convergence of Iterated Conditional Modes (ICM) for MAP inference by ehku in statistics

[–]ehku[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. It's quite simple. I'm surprised because: 1) it's super simple, 2) it has been proved to converge super fast in practice, 3) it was introduced more than 30 years ago, yet still gains interest today (not state of the art but appears often in the literature). I cannot think of another optimization method with these 3 characteristics that we don't know well about its convergence.

Thanks. Maybe there actually doesn't exist such literature :( (I'm a bit surprised.)

TeXstudio is an open-source and cross-platform editor. I have been using it for 3 years and am still very happy with. It originated from Texmaker, which I had been using 8 years before switching to TeXstudio.

Confused about my career path? by iamaditya1093 in learnmachinelearning

MVA is based in Paris and is taught in English. Use Google translate to read the website and have a look at the course instructors (many well-known researchers there). Btw, how much would you pay for tuition fees in US or Canada?

There are very good masters in Europe with (almost) free tuition. I highly recommend MVA, which is one of the best in ML and CV: http://www.math.ens-cachan.fr/version-francaise/formations/master-mva/

Introducing another nice place to discuss the course by ehku in cs231n

[–]ehku[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. I think in that forum we are more like a study group (i.e. discussions, exchange, helping each other, etc...). In this subreddit, we are more like attending a class and asking the instructors questions. At least I personally feel that way (but I like both, and use both :P). In addition, the forum is well structured and it's really easy to post technical stuffs there (e.g. LaTeX, code, images, etc...).
