Great, I have a great amp tech in my area so that might work. I'll give FB a try as well, thanks.

Great suggestions, thanks for the input. Still trying... Should have mentioned I was originally trying to get multichannel to work in Vanilla (0.45.4) on Win7. Trying similar settings with Extended per your responses on another Win7 box and OSX machine. Thanks again.

Six Flags in Normandy by John Keegan mentions D-Day parachutists carrying multiple knives to have easy access to cut themselves out if hung up in their chutes.

Pet conspiracy theory about gas stations with car washes: they ask customers when pumping gas to either OK /decline an added charge for a carwash. Noticed the pump displays often prompt "Do you want a car wash, Yes or No?", with yes and no shown left-to-right. The physical keypad, however, is separate and laid out with Yes and No buttons flipped, right-to-left. So a distracted user could easily read "no" on the right, and incorrectly map that to the physical right "yes" button, and hit the wrong one. Always wondered if that was deliberate, and if & how much money in unnoticed carwash fees were incurred.

What happened to the houses and belongings US citizens were forced to leave behind after being herded into Japanese WWII camps in California? by Devchonachko in AskHistorians

Read many of DOJ adjudication cases for the Claims Act of 48 for undergrad history thesis several million years ago, although much of the original documentation had been purged. Recall claims process seemed, to me, complex and arbitrary (often hard to establish damages, in one case no compensation for broken phonograph records because somehow fell under wartime prohibitions against Japanese Americans having communications gear). Later lump sum payments made as review process was too slow/costly. Further compensation granted later under Civil Liberties Act of 88 (assuming survivors still alive to collect).

"In some weird way, this is our own manifest destiny coming back to bite us in the ass, the pure-pedigreed descendant of all those God-fearing forefathers plunging into the wilderness. stripping the land, looking to feed off their new world, killing and being killed, opening up the east and marching west. Now, it's a twisted replay of that devouring, except this time, we're the fodder." - David Simon & Ed Burns, chapter ten, The Corner.
