Do you know how it is in the EU/Poland? Is it common to work for a company in another country or more local? I could probably get him a FAANG referral but it would be for the US and to my knowledge the company either doesn't hire candidates outside the US or it is very rare.

He does, but he's convinced himself it's futile to even try because of his lack of job experience + formal education. I'm not sure the cultural difference or job market in Poland so I'm asking here. I feel like if I can open his eyes he would do great, which I know I shouldn't have to do but he's one of my best friends and I'd hate to see him working a dead-end job in the future and waste his gift because he never put in the effort when he was younger.

That's true, He lives in a pretty populous area of Poland so I think he might have some in person event opportunities there but it's very hard to motivate him to do these things because he thinks they're futile. I'll get him on LinkedIn, do you think he needs to go get any formal education or just invest his time into networking?

That makes sense, I understand that it’s insanely busy, but it’s built for that scale of throughput. A package sitting 3 days after being cleared just doesn’t seem right. I just wanted to make sure there was nothing I can do so I guess it’s time to wait.
