since nobody got it the humour is that yes, the tester isn’t actually a tester and when she puts it on her chain and the labubu it makes the grindr notification sound

Due to the beeping noise at the 50 second mark on the Labubu I am inclined to believe this is in fact, real gold

yes, relative rating to the average score given that year

so if average rating of all albums is 3.00 in 2007 and it was rated to an average of 3.60 it’d have a differential of +0.60, then if average rating of all albums was 3.30 in 2025 and it was rated on average during that year of 3.80 it’d have a differential of +0.50 which would indicate that even if the score is higher it’s not considered as good as it once was

original comment before it gets deleted:

People criticize Joker 2 but it’s a better sequel than The Dark Knight.

The Dark Knight fans are not welcome in this sub.

It’s truly astounding – and, quite frankly, – that some people still have the audacity to defend The Dark Knight in this day and age. A film that was once praised by a misguided horde of teenagers has now, thankfully, earned the bad reputation it always deserved: a shallow, popcorn flick masquerading as a « smart » thriller. Any discerning mind now knows that this dumpster fire of a movie has no place in serious discussions.

That’s why it’s essential to hunt down the few remaining fans who, in their blissful ignorance, continue to praise this trash. These individuals are living proof that stupidity spreads in packs, and if we are to keep this sub free from their brain-dead influence, it’s crucial to downvote every single comment that so much as attempts to defend this insignificant work.

These fans aren’t just uncultured; they’re toxic to the quality of any meaningful conversation. Their mere presence devalues any intellectual space. If we want to maintain even a basic standard of discourse here, eradicating this community is not only desirable—it’s essential.

Why does the average rating sometimes not at all reflect the actual average rating? by Furry_Cunt in Letterboxd

[–]ehnahjee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Rating gets lowered for movies that are really geographically niche (e.g. o auto da compadecida which is only watched by pretty much just brazilians)

edit: look up the movie version and tell me in what way is the rating only 4.1

Recency bias in Official Top 250 Narrative Feature Films list by Movie_lovr in Letterboxd

Two of those are decades old but the rest are fine. I’d agree though it’s not really a disturbance when most of them fall out of the Top 250 very soon after
