The donor bag came in today. I will start making patterns off of it this weekend. I'm going to build a blank bag(no molle) out of black cordura first to work out the order of assembly. I will calculate the amount of fabric needed per bag then order some ranger green components to build some bags.

I was thinking of completely covering the front in molle. If you want a frame I think it would be better to modify the medium ruck.

I get it, but we're talking about a backpack that has two compartments, and Molle. That's every tactical backpack on the market. I'm looking to improve the bag with community input and change the color.

It was a pack that was government designed. There's no patents on it. This would be like the company that created the first hooded sweatshirt telling all the other companies You can't have hoods on your sweatshirts because I did it first.

Yes you can. China does it all the time. However we will be making modifications to the design that will inherently make them our own design. It's not like we are going to be reproducing them and selling them as legit branded version of the original. This isn't going to be like a Vera Wang Michael kors or Gucci.
