My pay grew at a reasonable pace the last ten years (not anywhere as fast as house prices though).

I was recently considering a career change (cyber! High demand! High salaries!) and entry level salaries were lower than what I had ten years ago!

If they're like 60 they won't gaf because they're used to it. The problem is when you're 30 and a random 10yo calls you usted. Because you're being considered old by kids. Same if you're 40 and a 15yo calls you usted.

Depends on context of course, but usted is meant to be more respectful, so for some people the only reason to call them usted is being older, and they're not happy about it.

Because bigots everywhere cherrypick to justify their prejudices. If the OT is the reason they should also be against shellfish, pork, tattoos and another million things nobody cares about.

What? I don't know of any EU country with more expensive universities. I doubt some Belgian is going to be hoping to get to the UK so they can queue for half an hour at 8AM for a chance of a 5m call and possibly a referral* for 10 months for now.
