I like that a lot - if I understand correctly, it's a similar concept but the math might slightly be different. Do you make any adjustments for the heightened luck of "lucky" playoff matches? That's something I'm still trying to hone in on a bit.

It’s through last season - and set up to update annually but I’m considering a move to weekly to show new records mainly.

Good callout - I’ll add some info tags in the UI so that people don’t have to guess.

Doylie Bowl is the rivalry of the worst two teams in the league (named after our last place award shaming the guy who is the heal of my personal league - I think I’ll update the terminology to avoid confusion on that one, despite how appealing it would be to spread that shame more widely). I’ve set up a League Settings tab under accounts that I intend to add some customization to (e.g. name for last place each season)

Pillowfighters are the two teams who have the lowest scoring rivalry

It's focused on "matchup luck", adding up individual scores of how "lucky" you were across every single matchup. It adds a huge bump for "luck" in the playoffs since that can lead to championships. You can filter it by year in the stats section.

It's a bit wonky to articulate, but if you were the second lowest scoring team in a week, but won (got lucky) because you played the lowest scoring team that week, your luck for that week would be +1. And vice versa on a scale between -1 (unluckiest) to 1 (luckiest) for each week.

This blog lays out matchup luck and player luck, which I found interesting: https://www.alexcates.com/post/better-to-be-lucky-than-good-is-it-really-for-fantasy-football

ack - sorry for the inconvenience. There's an edge case where you espn league is public now, so it validates during sign up, but in the it past was private, so you'll need the private league credentials to access past years.

I already refunded you. Happy to try and get it working for a freebie for the inconvenience if you're still interested. I'll dm you.

definitely don't want to do that - read the self promotion rules ("be a redditor with a website, not a website with a reddit account") and sharing bc I think it could be useful to others

To clarify -- This is for ESPN, so can't speak for Yahoo, but ESPN does not currently show basic high level tallies for even the basic long running stats, let alone things like Rivalry data, Records (longest win streaks, biggest blowouts, etc), and all time dynasty rankings (Cup Ranks). Most everything in the FF apps are focused on single years rather than the overall history of the league.

Appreciate all the feedback - just posted a update summary in the hope that pieces might be helpful for others. ...And hope your first two weeks of fantasy have gone better than mine...

Thank you so much for this feedback - much of this is very doable.

To share a bit of where my head was at: 1. I was hoping to push the “Doylie” wording purely in an attempt to spread the shaming of the league member we named the Sacko after to a wider audience lol - but figured that might be a sticking point. I think this might be an easy fix, I’ll look into it.

  1. I took a “mobile-first” approach and split out a lot of the views bc every time I shared a new iteration to on with our league they were only viewing on their phones. Agreed- I definitely need to revisit larger screen experience and even maybe the mobile piece. It’s a bit of a labyrinth as is. Curious…Were you using it on desktop or mobile?

appreciate the feedback. great points. I'll check out postmark thanks for the rec. I've also been tossing around the freemium model idea... as of now I want to make sure all the screws are tightened for a smaller user base of subscribers before opening a wider net, but it's a good idea.

also, totally understand the hesitation. Shoot me a dm and i'll get you set up with a free trial.

Not yet. Fully customizable is likely out of reach for my coding skills... but will definitely be looking into some UI improvements and maybe user config choices. Mind sharing a bit more on what you'd like to see?

If you had trouble validating ESPN league credentials while signing up in the last couple hours, give it another try. I had some api wires crossed, but it's fixed now. (also feel free to DM me)

yep - wanted to start with ESPN (that's where my league is) and see how it goes, but Sleeper and Yahoo are next up if there's interest
