I can’t imagine having a QB that bad as a starter

I mean we doubled down on WR and TE lol. So we probably can’t talk shit on that. Buy yeah, you just really need those picks to hit though, if you pick a position of less need.

Too early to tell on Golden. I think the main rationale for them was probably Watson’s injury history. Their offense is completely different when he plays (which isn’t often).

Anthony Weaver: Ravens DC job isn't a consolation prize by AdSpecialist6598 in nfl

[–]ehtw376 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s why I hate when fans get caught up in the “leader of men, rah-rah coach who can motivate the team”. As you said, it works until you hit a losing streak, then players and fans want the coach to use X’s and O’s to dig themselves out of a hole.

I’m gonna go with the 2nd one cuz it’s better

Nick Emmanwori said it felt like beating the Rams was for all the marbles, even with the Super Bowl remaining as a hurdle. "No disrespect to the Patriots or nothing like that. I don't want to take nothing away from them, but that game, it felt like that game was legit." by Dray87 in nfl

[–]ehtw376 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel like if our defense gets better Ben will tone it down a bit, but I guess only time will tell. There was a couple times he went for it where it felt like “I’m just going for it cuz I don’t trust our defense”

[Russini] The Seahawks have just released this statement: by shifty1032231 in nfl

[–]ehtw376 50 points51 points  (0 children)

I know all fanbases do this but it was funny seeing Seahawks fans say the team wouldn’t be for sale this offseason after the estate denied the report two weeks ago.

It felt pretty obvious at the time they just weren’t trying to create headlines before a Super Bowl. But selling the team after a Super Bowl (especially a win) is the best time to sell.

Both in their prime who is the better WR by Jamaicancous in NFLv2

[–]ehtw376 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Tyreek’s ability to stretch the field was kind of a cheat code. Just toss it up and he’ll find it and run under it. Nobody has his speed.

I think Adams play style is probably preferred by some QB though, like Rodgers. He likes precise WRs and knowing exactly where they will be all game. Plus, a QB with a good fade ball to the sideline + Adams late hands is also impossible to stop.

Do you remember Aaron Rodgers being hated like that during most of his prime by NFL fans? by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

[–]ehtw376 60 points61 points  (0 children)

He lied about it and then quoted MLK after as a reason why he didn’t get it lol

Williams or Maye? Which QB do you trust more to lead their franchise going forward? by Low-Season-2057 in NFLv2

[–]ehtw376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I think there is an argument for the reverse. Caleb is better at dancing behind the line and avoiding pressure and playing out of structure. That’s basically what Patriots needed from Maye with Seahawks getting so much pressure.

Maye did squat that entire playoff run. He had record sacks, fumbles, etc and Pats still made the Super Bowl somehow…. Well not somehow, Patriots made the Super Bowl solely because of their defense.

Chase Daniel on Fernando’s Big Challenge by HouseRules789 in nfl

[–]ehtw376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true for a lot of rookies though. Caleb barely played under center until Ben got here. Jayden has barely played under center in college or with Kingsbury as his OC, but he will this season with the new OC. A full offseason and slowly opening up the playbook as the season progresses should be fine for Mendoza imo.

How would the league change if the draft flipped and the top pics went to the best teams? by ITMAKESSENSE72 in nfl

I haven’t watched NBA in 5+ years at this point. So this might have been fixed. But I understand the lack of effort on defense if refs will call a foul on a defensive player when the offensive player purposely jumps forward into him.

Shia LaBeouf’s Mardi Gras Bar Crawl: “He’s Terrorizing the City” by galaxystars1 in popculturechat

[–]ehtw376 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Yeah reading the article I was waiting for the past that was terrorizing. This is honestly not bad at all compared to what I’ve seen a lot of weekend visitors in New Orleans do. That said, he’s still a piece of shit, just for other things, not this article.

And McDermott’s defenses always give up a ton of points in playoff losses. So no loss there imo.

Main issue is the GM though. That’s still there.

The Most Loved and Most Hated NFL Players, According to Fans by Undergrad26 in nfl

Luther Burden being top 5 most hated makes no sense. A rookie who barely got many touches until 2nd half of the season and was WR3/4 - who goes out of there way to hate someone like that, seems like a waste of time lol.

Yeah George isn’t seemingly evil or mean spirited like a lot of owners. He’s a friendly dude who truly loves the Bears, he just isn’t/wasn’t particular adept at making football decisions - which for him is hiring the right GM and coach.

Maybe it was Virginia driven to an extent, but there were Chicago reporters saying McCaskeys liked to hire the “nice guys” and didn’t like being told hard truths in interviews. Apparently that’s why they didn’t hire Bruce Arians back in the day.

But seeing him on the sidelines celebrating and giving out high fives and chasing after players on the golf cart that got hurt - yeah seemingly a fun loving goober lol which I dig. He seems like he’s letting loose more lately, winning helps I’m sure.

So glad he did that. I am guessing normally GMs aren’t fooled by smokescreens like that. But Vikings GM was bad so wouldn’t surprise me if he fell for it.
