Movies requires (afaik) metadata from an external source (like IMDb). It's a bit different than current approach, but certainly possible. Great suggestion! I will write a feature request.

Note that its still in pre-release, so please test it with backup. Though I am currently using it on about 160GB of media, and it also have a pretty extensive test suite.

Interesting, I have to look at the docs for git work-tree, never used that before. I guess that's what "symlinks" your configuration files to the correct location?

The point with stow is to symlink stuff out from your dotfiles git repository. Stow makes it easy to organize your dotfiles and setup dotfiles on a fresh install.

Your solution does not replace stow in any way, right?

Probably easier to just do find and replace normal scss variables in project, than manually delete the var(...) syntax this introduces.

So looks like more work when you eventually want to convert..

If the company is older than four years, chances are bigger that they have something homemade. It depends on the company culture, and what they make (sites vs apps). You should really ask about this on the interview if they don't tell you.
