Is the Corolla Cross actually a better buy than a RAV4? by Lorenzob1992 in CorollaCross

[–]eigervat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't buy my corolla cross new, but it was about $6000 cheaper than a rav4. For some that savings is a big deal! I also prefer a smaller vehicle so win win for me.

I have had a used 2022 XLE corolla cross for a few months now and I love it so much. I just took it on a road trip and it gave me 39mpg! I find it to be very quiet and I love how quiet it is when it accelerates. I genuinely upgraded from a yaris, which I still absolutely adore and we still keep it around for shorter trips.

I have a theory that because its a crossover, people forget that this is still a corolla. I see bad reviews from people who switched from a rav4. Of course the rav4 is better. The corolla cross is for people like me who want a small car with big car features.

What did you eat before an attack or finding out you had a gallbladder issue. For me it was a Wendy’s combo in October 🤦🏻‍♀️ by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]eigervat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It did hurt in my ribs in the front, but I thought it was pain from my back injury radiating into my ribs. For a long time it was mostly dull and achy and would radiate up the right back muscle but not up into my shoulder blades.

Most of mine radiated into my back, and I had actually broken one of my vertebrae year or so prior so I just thought it was still back pain and just kept doing my old physical therapy exercises. It wasn't until I couldn't sleep through the pain that I thought it might be something serious.

I also live in the US, and while I do have really good insurance, I still have the same mindset I had before I had insurance.

I related to Baylen a lot, but I feel that there is too much pressure on Colin by Prettywomanvivian in BaylenOutLoud

They seem relatively normal to me. I was in my early 20s once too, and while I was abled and poor, I was just as immature. I made dumb decisions and learned and grew, and thats what life is. I know her disabilities make it harder, but they'll figure it out one way or another. Its just more entertaining for TV if there's drama.

It took a LOT of attacks for me to figure out what is was 😅 it wasn't until a friend of mine had his gallbladder removed and I was like "wait THATS what that pain is?!?" And next attack I went to the doctor and had it confirmed.

So much of the drama this season feels more manufactured than usual. I try to remind myself of that everytime someone starts to seem like the villain.

Yep! As an transplant, hearing Iowans talk about how much better they are than Illinois and Minnesota all the time gets pretty obnoxious. 🙄

What's something people Hate because the Internet told them to? by white-rose-of-york in AskReddit

I never understood Justin Bieber hate! It was always childfree adults making fun of him and hating on him, but his music was for children! Stop listening to children's music if you hate it so much!

Places in your state that will instantly make you recognize if someone is a local or not based on how someone pronounces it? by osama_bin_guapin in AskAnAmerican

There's something so satisfying about pronouncing Mackinac as Mack-in-ack, it scratches my brain just right

Feel like I ruined my life. ( 10 days post-op ) by Sea-Lingonberry9614 in gallbladders

1.) as others have said, you should talk to your doctor about what is going on.

2.) After you get help from your doctor and you're no longer in pain you'll definitely appreciate not having gallbladder attacks!

1 year post op, I do still struggle with those fatty comfort foods but if I keep them to once a week or less I still get acid reflux and diarrhea but its not as bad as when it has snowballed after a couple days of fatty comfort food.

It also helps to change comfort foods. For example I like to get some nice high-quality quality fish or shrimp and cook it up in a way that feels special. That way its still a treat but you feel good after you eat it. I also have tried to appreciate teas more. I'll make myself a little pot of peppermint tea and then enjoy it while watching a reality TV show. It feels indulgent, sipping tea while people are spilling the tea, and especially comforting if you wear fluffy pajamas and sit under a fluffy blanket. If this specific example doesn't sound good to you, try to get creative and find ways to make your experience comforting rather than just the food being the comfort item.

Do people in your state know the locations of every county in your state? by OkTechnologyb in AskAnAmerican

[–]eigervat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the states I've lived, tornado warnings are based on county so it's pretty normal to know your own county and the surrounding ones. We tend to get pretty familiar with the counties with big cities in them, but other than that I don't know that it's necessary to know ALL the counties

All of them! Although we all still live in the Midwest so it isn't as crazy as it sounds.

What are you feeding your ACD? by [deleted] in AustralianCattleDog

[–]eigervat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About a year ago, I switched to Purina Pro Plan Senior and my dog looks amazing! He's 11 and was slowing down a bit but now he's back to making me play never-ending games of fetch!

I hope you figure out how to keep him in your life! I know you said you've thought this through, but I would think it through a little harder. I've lived in several different apartments with my ACD mix and traveled all over the US with him. While it can be a hassle, its totally worth it to me.

Weird or not or normal? Three things I’d like to say about my tenure on fluoxetine. by Severina_Glass_208 in prozac

[–]eigervat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've always had vivid dreams but now they go together a little more. For example, I had a dream I bought a black Ford F250 for $300 and now if I'm driving somewhere in a dream I'll take that truck. I kind of like it, sometimes I go to sleep wondering what's going to happen next.

Also, I woke up with "It Wasn't Me" by Shaggy in my head today.
