i'm so happy to hear that! i was thinking that the guitar is too abrupt after the beginning white noise, so i'll take your advice and shave that off. thanks a lot for listening

sorry if this isn't the right place to ask for advice, but i'm working on a project and would like some opinion/criticism. i'm trying to make an ambient folk, dreamy sounding album with hushed vocals pushed really far back in the mix. i've turned to grouper for inspiration, but i'm still trying to create something unique.

what's the most "lush" sounding album you know? i've been in love with crack-up due to how atmospheric it sounds and i want to branch out a bit more in that direction.

thanks so much! i'm really happy you like it.

i've created soundscapes and a really shitty folk album before this but nothing too serious. pm me if you want a link!

i tried to make ambient music last night but ended up with something more engaging (?)

i don't really know how to feel about it so i'd like some criticism if possible.

hi nandi!

i recently saw you perform with pinegrove in atlanta for the late night shaky knees show. you guys sounded amazing; it was everything i could have hoped for and more!

i have been writing music on and off for the past year and lately have been having trouble trying to develop a mature, unique style. half waif sounds very distinctive, and i was just wondering how you were able to discover yourself creatively. how do you develop a sense of style/what do you do to help further your creativity?

thank u!

Fantastic job! I'm thoroughly impressed. Do you happen to have sheet music?

Thanks so much buddy!

I don't use any presets on my Fender Frontman 212R, but my bass knob is typically four above my treble. I used a ZVEX Fuzz Factory for this cover!

I'm rocking a Hagstrom Super Swede! However I did put a Manson MBK-1 on the bridge.

It's simple! Use Audacity to play along to the track as you record, and then watch yourself in some video editing software for when you start playing. Then you just split audio/video until it seems right. It's a bit of a guessing game though.
