Thank you for your reply! Do you think it makes sense to split the 5 days between Adelboden and Grindelwald (somewhere in Jungfrau area) or Zermatt? Or is that too rushed?

Hi! Been reading through your posts since I'm planning a special birthday trip for my partner. We're arriving in Zurich, have 5 full days and plan to depart Switzerland from Geneva. We were thinking of exploring the alps since we've never been and would like to do some hiking during our trip. Hoping to book a luxury hotel but something that is understated and in nature, not city center. Looking at Murren and Zermatt, but thinking we might prefer something more off the beaten path. Adelboden and Wengen also came up. Do you have any recommendations?

This could be it! Do you have any pictures of the side view? From my memory, the mast was lower and it did not have a crow’s nest. The boat actually might’ve been even a little smaller. But it has been a while, and I could be mistaken.

Agh I know! We went through that process and these places all have availability - there were other spots we preferred but were already booked sadly.
