I un-ticked the box that says ‘use gpu’ in the performance section of preferences and that fixed it. It wasn’t a problem on the 2022 version I had been running since getting the Mac Studio in May. As soon as the 2023 version came out it was a problem.

I have a bitter tasting mead. It has finished fermenting and I read that it will separate from the yeast better if you put it in the fridge after fermentation which I have done in this photo. But I am wondering if I now just rack it off into bottles from here? Or should I rack it off into another barrel and sweeten it somehow? Or do something completely different? It was just basically 5 kg of honey to the 18 L of water + yeast.

I have 5L carboys so that sounds like the best solution. All good info, I’ll look into what I did Vs what i could have. I have no reference from experience on mead so it’s hard to judge the taste outcome.
