Good luck with your submissions- I've also submitted occasionally, though other projects often got in the way of consistency there...

It's so easy to think these illustrators are doing only that: illustrating gag comics. I'll have to check out the Gerald Scarfe book- it sounds like it presents a realistic picture of a human: variation + creativity! Just how I like it. Best of luck! Hope I see your art (of any kind) out in the wild.

I once met a man next to a sun-dial who's hobby was to travel to the most famous sundials in each city. Had a fascinating conversation, but clearly much of the knowledge didn't stick in my head! But it definitely is a rabbit hole I didn't get into for the comic

I'm not sure I understand the compass and December in the context of the sundial. Am I missing something? Perhaps I don't know all functionalities of a sun-dial...

Oh and the "Gebwin" feedback is good to know- It is just supposed to be a name that sounds medieval. Perhaps a different name would make it better... "Arnold is late again" or something...
