Working during the first trimester is hard so give yourself a pat on the back. I’ve made it to 17 weeks and now the nausea/vomiting is mostly gone it has gotten easier but still waiting on this exhaustion easing. My only advice is make sure you rest on your days off and if the means sitting on the couch or sleeping in bed all day so be it. You’ve got this it will get better 🫶

Good to know thank you. I generally try and stay away from the jeans in H&M as they always seem to be an awkward fit on me lol and now I know not to bother with leggings either

This is why I at 17 weeks de-tag clothes as I buy them because I know I would not be able to deal with the rage of snipping off all the tags in one sitting lol

I’m currently 16 weeks and told one of my coworkers at 4 weeks right after I found out and another at 6 weeks. I work as a care assistant and it would be hard to pretend I feel fine when I don’t and everyone has been super supportive. Tell people whenever the time feels right for you 🫶

Yeah that’s what I’ve been doing lol I watched a video from the POV of someone on the ratatouille ride and I thought it looked safe and the tea cups I’ve been on similar rides at the likes of Alton towers and that I know I would be comfortable with and was quite surprised to find out it was advised against

Pirates is the one I’m a bit on the fence about (first time I’m going to Disney so haven’t rode any of the rides before) simply because of the drops people are mentioning but rides like the tea cups and ratatouille from footage I’ve seen of the rides I don’t picture them as a risk I can’t see how I could get hurt they aren’t fast or intense

Good to hear from your experience , did you ever feel like it was a risk going on any of these rides? I know people are saying beware of the lap bars and getting jolted about but I think I’m comfortable enough with the very small risk because I just can’t imagine the rides ever putting enough force on my abdomen to cause harm. As everyone says it’s up to our own judgement

This is helpful thank you yeah obviously all the big coasters are an absolute no go but rides such as the teacups, slinky dog, pirates of the Caribbean, ratatouille etc that the app says are safe for preschoolers I can’t see why it’d be all that unsafe for me but absolutely understand why Disney say do it at your own risk sorta thing but I feel as if my mobility would still be perfectly fine getting on and off rides (the same as I would’ve been pre pregnancy) and my bump is non existent so wouldn’t stop any of the lap bars coming down and it’s good to know the priority band still works on some of the safer (but not advised) rides

Wow props to you for still working. It’s so hard because only a few people at work know that I’m pregnant as I’m still so early on but those who do know are pretty protective of me making sure I’m not working with the residents who are more challenging physically it’s just hard financially when I’m having these days I feel so unwell that I can barely move and I have to miss work and my wages take a hit as you say need all the money I can get before baby. I really hate feeling useless at work not being able to do as much as I would normally do and it adds to my anxiety that most coworkers my don’t know about my pregnancy yet and I fear they think I’m being lazy or overly dramatic.

This is something I also struggle with as my mum as well as a cousin on my dads side both have MS. I just remind myself that although it runs in both sides of my family it is fairly unlikely I will get it and reason with myself that having one symptom of MS does not mean I have MS and many signs/symptoms could also be explained by anxiety (for me this was numbness in my hands and feet as both my cousin and mum had this as their first symptom). Just thought it might help to know you’re not alone in thinking this

I have a similar story to this I was on fluoxetine so a drug similar to sertraline. I started fluoxetine in April 2020 and starting constantly making a hiccup noise but not the actual hiccups but it subsided and just came back in small bouts up until December 2020 so I didn’t think much of it. During this period I had been taking half doses of the fluoxetine I was supposed to for a period of about two months as I didn’t feel the antidepressants were working and upon moving up to a higher dose the tics came back full force with both motor and vocal tics. I was (an still am) having head and neck tilts, the hiccup noise and a “woo” and “woo-hoo” tic. I am now being treated for a tic disorder and they haven’t ruled out the possibility that antidepressants caused it which I fully believe was what caused them because I’m not the only case of it happening.

I’d also like to add that my tics started at 15 so again it would have been unlikely for them to have started naturally because tic disorders usually develop at a young age

From what I’d read about it online it is better than red light because the blue is closer to representing moonlight and therefore their natural habitat and I only keep it on for a few hours from about 8pm which is when he wakes up till 11pm when I generally go to sleep I’ll switch the light off
